Babylon, I wouldnt argue with u anyway on this issue. But the blame is almost equally on us black Africans. The situation in black Africa today enhances white domination. The black continent is a continent where any MONKEY can pick up a gun and become a president, and live a paradise like life that can only be read in fairy tales. The situation in black Africa is very confusing and very abnormal. If the situation in black Africa had had a semblance of normality, africa's claim of its rightful portion of the global cake would not have been easily denied.
Present white domination is a bequest from their forefathers. For their forefathers to peacefully lie in their graves, the present white generation has to maintain the domination, they owe it to their ancestors. This explains the solidarity of whites today.
Bamba, I donīt blame the black africans for acting confused. Africa is in a big mess with civil wars and people killing eachother, not being able to get on her feet. All this desperation is basically caused by poverty and the lack of fair trade which is directly caused by the west. The governments here should atleast stop making it so easy for the foolish, greedy dictators to act the way they do, stealing their countries money. But these politicians here do absoultely nothing but watch when people are suffering and dying, nothing. They watched when the Rwandans slaughtered their brothers and sisters. Nothing was done to stop it, no one cared. The U.N didnīt care. That says alot about the wests mentality. It is very, very scary how this can continue and nothing is been done. So what can the africans do, when the world is against them? Itīs the system that should be blamed, not the people. |

dID I HEAR THIS |
When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it--always. |

Collecting huge allowances through UN peace Keeping. They are all building mansions when they come back home. Certainly all the gambians are doing the same. It is a big issue to be sent on peace keeping because of the daily per diem of US100.00
Just over the week end the rebels ran over an African peace keeping police post in Dafur and killed an innocent interpreter. They should pack up and leave. They cannot pay salaries of their own military. UN has to foot that bill for them.
This is why i believe AU should be disbanded. They are draining our economies with huge salaries in Addis whilst Ethiopians are starving to death right on their door steps. Thousands of Dallars a month.
The same costs killed the Segambia confederation. Conferedal salaries were five times more than local salaries. The in fighting that ensued as to who will be a confederal staff plagued our armed forces and civil service. These institutions are other forms of draining on our resources |
When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it--always. |

I agree that people should help themselves. But I donīt think thatīs possible if the country and itīs people are dependent on aid. It is not up to Africa to get earn the wests respect. I donīt think so at all. |

I want to split this topic and move some of the postings into a new one but it looks almost impossible. Well, perhaps its better to just leave it as it is since it indicates how people get happiness in different ways.
We are appealing to members to start a new topic instead of starting off topic issues in an ongoing topic. |

Yes Admin, but recently a lot of innocent postings have been hijacked by a certain person, who has hostility and resentmant towards people of a certain colour. If the person wishes to talk about racism and the failings of the white man - then why dosent this gentleman start his own posts, and then people can choose to read and reply if we so wish. |

This would tantamount to polarise the topic, mixed messages, more misundertandings, irrelevance creeping into relevance, out of touch and lack of focus, misinformation and misleading roles. |

Kobo, do you think it would polarise the subject, i thought it had done that already. Look at the beginning topic and read the last ones. I have not seen the connections.

Kisley the situation has cooled down now, can't u just leave it.... There is no need to go on and on and on, and it's not fair to pick out a certain member and keep nagging about him.Show some character and leave it be please. If we carry on like this, we will soon see the admin close the subject.(which is understandable with all this bickering going on) |
