Barge poles are very useful, they keep your barge in mid river and stop you hitting the bank!!!

kiwi has a point.

In western countries older population have majority. Youngs are popular. In the third world, the younger population has greater share. So it is about supply/demand that determines the values. Riiiighhhht.

What was abusive ??
I used no abuse in my posting directed at anyone incidentally Taken where????
I said touched as in kept a distance from and where did I imply that anyone should be spat on
I never mentioned age of women either!!!!!!! Just the age of the men. Please re-read.
I was answering the question as to why British men aren't interested in these women

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...........please don't get angry, I am sure that it was a comment that was not meant to be personal or hurtful to ladies of a certain age, thats the way I viewed that comment, hence my attempt at humour, but there again I am used to being in the wrong as I am a bloke, and according to some recent postings a member of a minority,Ah well that's life! I really enjoy bantaba!

Hiz Princess. Your attitude to older women seems very arrogant and dismissive.

As regular posters on here know I have had a Gambian Boyfriend over a couple of years. This is all finished now. I wont bore people by going over the details.

But Princess I just wanted to say that if there are 2 consenting adults where is the harm in it? In my view if you are plus or minus 15 years or so wheres the harm? It seems to me women with toy boys are judged much more harshly than men who do the same thing.

Many of the young men are far from innocents. They want money or passports..... They will have had several white girlfriends.
Indeed the white women in Africa for the first time can be a easy target, more innocent than the younger men.

Princess your attitude that the women are in Africa because they cant get a boyfriend at home is very insulting. I have been divorced 3 years. I am reasonably ok looking, look after myself, nice personality and have NO PROBLEM getting a boyfriend in the UK!

Of course we have all seen the sights of a very old lady with a very young boy. But these cases are very small and are based on money. Many men go to Thailand for the same reason and I dont condone this in any way. This is clear cut prostitution. I think it is sad for both sides to need to resort to this as a way of like.

Amongst all of this there are people that go on holiday to Gambia, fall in love with the country with the people and perhaps with one particular person. Amidst all the complexity of different cultures, different life styles, inbalance of money, age differences, there are some people that fall in love and manage to make it work.

I am very happy for those people. Very happy.

Life is short and aslong as we dont harm anyone I think people should embrace life and take the bits of happiness they can find along the way. No regrets.

Toubab I agree that seeing a very drunk women is not very nice..but then neither is a very drunk aggressive man.

Toubab1020 im not angry .I was slightly miffed as to where the abuse came in hmmmmmmmm.

Bev with all due respect when did this thread become about you and yours the threads about sex tourisim not relationships!!! and my post is in response to Turks post about British men, and the article in 'Take a break' which was about Turkey and the explotation of its men. Sex tourisim in that sense is far from your romantised view.

Im sorry if you or any of your 'friends' have hang ups about your age that's not my problem!
I never mention older women you have. Dont try and make this something it was not!

There are many sex tourist of all shapes and sizes ages and colours. oh and by the way with reference to your earlier posting many of us a darker skinned 'western' ladies, old and young, rich and poor get hit on just as much as the white women I dont think colour comes into it just location.

There is a town called, Bodrum which is basically british town with many brits, many turkish men offers their services available starting 20 pounds.

I had to lmao. 'The bar tender..''A VERY DECENT MAN'.. was seen coming out of the toilet with a British woman'. OMG, if the daily mail didn't exist it'd be necessary to invent it. Some places do it with a knife, others with words.
