No the vice president is out. I dont think she has the qualities of a good leader that can sit idly and alloww suppression of freedoms and quitely go to bed. Hell no. Jahumpa is a non starter and very narrow minded. She has no place for divergent opinions as far as APRC is concerned. I have yet to hear her acccept even the basic mistake. Any one who aided and abeited injustice shall not be allowed to be president.
Infact in the Nurembourg trials, soldiers that carried out lawful orders but which contravenes the geneva Conventions were found guilty. Merely executing a lawful order is no reason and that you should refuse because it is wrong. There is already a precedent in internal law and therefore we will aplly it in the gambia when the time comes. That is why sadam and Chemical Ali are on trial otherwse it would have been Saddam only. All conspirators are as gulity as the leader. That is why in Islam the one who buys the alcohol and the one who drinks it have similar punishment even though the one who bought it did not drink. Hey i am not advocating for Shariah law in the Gambia because we are a homogeneous society with different faiths. |

dbaldeh: I agree with you . infact there is an article in the Newsweek that discusses the "changing face of politics and the role of women " . The recent rise of women to leadership in Latin America (Chile) and West Africa (Liberia) are important developments that is likely to continue. Women have a lot of advantage to transform developing countries in this century. Men , and i am one , have for years destroyed our livelihood and hopes while women strived to hold the pieces of our societies together mostly in the background though. I think women can be very successful , and we should encourage them to assume positions in leadership. Women like Wangari Mathai od Kenya , Amy Sillah of the Gambia , Hilary Clinton and Cond Rice of the U.S. Thanks. |

Yeah!! Amie Sallah would be perfect. What about jabou Joh. This lady corresponds on the freedomnewspaper. I like her views. I do not know her though but she sounds enlightened.
I think my wife would make a perfect president as well. Laught. |
