Hon. Sallah will now rest. The traitors succeeded in their underminings, and history recorded well the facts. Whoever owes a grain of betrayal will by God's power pay it in full now or later. While people must accept destiny, people also must purify themselves from selfishness, sentimental divisions, betrayals and hatred.

All the best to our true patriots. Long live the true Gambians!

As the younger generation mature's they will look back and question 'how did we allow this man Haliffa Sallah to slip away?

I have no doubt that he will turn the 'dirty tricks' rest into an advantage but it is a very bleak day indeed for The Gambia.

I've been away for awhile and my commentaries have limited. Today is a day of reckoning. We have betrayed a true pratriot. As I see it the future of Gambian politics is very bleak at this moment.

May God save the Gambia.

Justice must be served as impunity brings more repression and corruption!

Guys, I look at Halifa's lost with a different set of eyes and mindset. A superstar and an icon of hope cannot go down in history as enemies wish. There are so many ways superstars can help their team win without scoring all the points.

A human being with multi-dimensional talents and leadership ability can always find a way to contribute effectively in any society under any circumstances. I will probably be the only one apart from his enemies to embrace this lost which presents Halifa with abundance of opportunities to even contribute greater to our society.

I have several reasons for taking this position and some of are simply, since Halifa went into the house, he has limited resources and time to focus on enlightening people through numerous writings, speeches at educational forums, challenging autocratic laws and conduct among many other things.

I believe that he was tied to this ineffective body of sedo-law makers who have no sense of direction or purpose. Many, if not all of them slept through his presentations because they did not have the maturity to understand his position and purpose. As Halifa repeatedly said, "Politics is not a profession but a service that is entrusted on an individual to service his citizenry".

I bet people in that house went there to become powerful and famous and not to service the nation. Therefore, it was a waste of Halifa's talent and ability to try to put sense in the minds of a group of people who just show up with a different agenda.

I went to bed last night with my feet tired, but my mind rested knowing fully well that no matter what happens Halifa will always live with his priciples, discipline and humbleness. He has and will do much better outside of the house. Time will be the jugde...

Hon. Sallah will now rest.

My heartfelt condolence to his disciples, and may his political career rest in peace.

Folks

Lets give credit where it is due! Halifa was a brilliant parliamentarian but this time round the people of Serre-Kunda Central went for someone else.

My commiserations to the likes of Hamat, Kemenseng and Halifa, we do need to console them
