...if certain members edit the same posting up to ten times - without changing anything but maybe a comma here and there - only to make their topic/their name appear on top of the list? Isn't this annoying for those who like to read new contributions in a forum? Your opinion, please.

Let me hear the poll answers you want. You can have up to 12 answers. To help you, there is a possibility of setting Edit/Delete Time Limit to: Minute(s): Hour(s): Day(s): No Limit

No witchhunts please, not even of the Nazis.
I may have to edit that opinion before I post it or make serveral subsequent posts, thus using up more space ( which is being paid for).
Make your choice - please yourself and be reasonable, this is a democratic forum, a Bantaba, a meeting place, not a third more world war zone or debating forum, Bantaba for me means to keep good( even if not always agreeable/intelligent) company, to chill out, not to dance with spectres |

No limit? That would be an act of incomprehensible madness. Then even infinity wouldn't be able to touch her sky.... |

Bantaba is a place where we should agree to disagree and suggestions are always welcome. |

Ok, here are the possible answers
I. I think it is unfair and not very productive... a) ...because if I am interested in a topic and from the list expect a new contribution I feel annoyed to read the same old sermon again b) ...because I regard it as a cheap trick to stay on top of the list
II. I don't care... a) ...because anyway I always forget what I read, and don't notice if there are no changes or new contributions b) ...because I never read or post anything in a forum
III. I like it because... a) ...I love to see a posting as a process, even if sometimes there are creative idlings b) ...I definitely love to see all these cute little commas changed!
You may decide about the time limit. |

Admittedly my questions are a little bit biased...
Sorry, it is hard to stay neutral if I get the impression that someone is playing tricks on me and others...
Oops, now I edit myself... Let me change my proposals:
I. no changes
II. I don't care because if I see that nothing has changed I just go to another topic
III. I like it because I see a posting as a process, even if sometimes there are creative idlings |

just a question, perhaps it has been discussed before. Why do you post articles from Foroyaa Newspaper?
is there a link between the Bantaba and Foroyaa.

Serenata, I would like to receive more suggestions for Polls. We have until now received suggestions from only Kobo and once from Njucks. You are all welcome to send more Poll suggestions to admin@gambia.dk and remember to also send suggestions for answers. There can be up to 12 answers and maximum 100 words. |

I find it annoying to think that there is a new posting and someone has just edited their own postings. I never edit mine, but that is coz I dont know how to!!! Seriously though I think reading through the postings should be a progression of some kind of thoughts. If everyone keeps redoing stuff it alters the flow. Likewise I dont see the point of quoting great chunks of someone elses posting. We can all read it in its original place! I just refer to the name of the person I am commenting on. It keeps it much briefer. |
