Jambo you're really funny. Export Licence( ), i dont think the World Bank/WTO would approve such an inhibitor to trade. but I'm sure the government would be most grateful if you export anything out of the country. however whether you remit the money paid,£ or $, back into the Gambia is another question.
but seriously if i remember correctly it is only 'blood diamonds' en transit that need permission, since there is a UN embargo. In the Customs Act there was a clause preventing import/export to South Africa under apartheid. i'm not sure if its still there .
i dont think there is such a thing. however some commodities do attract Export Taxes. go to the customs dept and ask.

The only export is the "re-export" trade. These are goods not made in the gambia but expotred from other countries and theen re-exported manily to Guniea Bissau, Mauritania and Senegal and in inturn import palm oil and cashew nuts. The latter is exported to Europe. |

Maybe your sign read GIPA......Gambia Investment Promotion Agency - under the Department of State for Trade Industry & Employment. Go to State House archives/Government Policies/Investment incentives. You sure do jump around - but not with both feet I hope! regards, |
