Thanks Jabel Mousa. I have enjoyed your postings here. It gives a different perspective but i am also very interetsted in the debacle between UDP supporters and PDOIS. The two dont seem to see each other on many fronts and the strong believe that each is the best certainly does not seem to show in any binary comparison of other political party supporters in the Gambia.
I like your new name "Jebel Mousa" which when translated from Arabic means the mountain of Moses or in short Mount Sinai an imporatnt religoius site for all the three major religions. Interetsingly though, this is one place i would love to visit before i die. Was this not the place where its believed that God spoke to Moses and handed down the Ten Commandments? |

| Yep the same spot Mohammed's horse rose to the Creator. kon's this is my problem with this whole UDP Nadd debacle . The fact remains that overall Darboe I would hate to say this simply because it goes against everything I want but let facts be facts whether by choice or default he is the legitimate leader of any coalition party to be formed excluding the GMC or PONORAMA. The fact is Darboe shows better chances of competing for the presidency and winning than any other opponent out there. His party is the largest and garners more votes than any other party, although I have some reservations regarding some of their practices. This leadership crisis is just a figment of their imaginations, Darboe in any case should have led the last coalition based on the fact that after all in determining the leader of a coalition the selection process should be open and be public and based on public opinion, after all it's really up to the voters and the public to determine who they felt was the ideal candidate. If the APRC Party was non existent today Darboe will be voted into office by default, Halifa Knows this , Kemeseng knows this and basically they all knew this. There was no crisis bro it was total selfishness and calculated agenda's. They all went in with hidden agenda's and the public came to the realization. I think their voices were clearly heard and ignored hence the birth of their demise. The most critical factor was ignored and it will be a challenge trying to win the minds of the people now. I will assure you that they were not committed to a common cause, cos if they were the ultimate goal would have been the removal of the ruling Party but I can assure you that the opposition in Gambia is out of sync with the reality on the ground, its not about what the voters want or wanted, all the UDP needed was a little shove or tug and it would have been history. Now they need a Liver, Heart Transplant, One of the Lungs collapsed and I think quite possibly suffering from emphysema. Their margin of error was too wide and this will be clearly depicted through out the up coming elections past and present, they managed to destroy each other in the process of trying to create some kind of organized selection process.........................................................Peace |
