E moe "keng seng", typical sycophant!!! Now you loosing it big time, with your unappropriated example of Jammeh's case to that of (Prophet Muhammed PBUH. You are just not worth any sensible discourse. No one is saying the girl married for economic reasons but the fact that, the naughty professor set an eye on her put all king of pressure on the family. I can bet her mum and dad never envy Jammeh to be the choice. It must be a catch 22 scenario for the parents particularly the detrimental situation they may fine themself if they object to his proposal. Remember, her dad is serving under the big boss!! Just admit it, your man is a hypocrite. My advise to you, please defend what is defendable otherwise you'll carry on forever being moe keng seng..... |

Sorry but what is the thing indefensible here?
a- Is Jammeh pedophile? Is the girl under age? b- Is the girl younger than the Gambian law requires? c- Does the Gambian law allows having more than one wife? d- Is this a decision of this man and the girl? Did Jammeh get married with this girl by force? e- Is this their personal business?
And we had critique(s) who were objecting Jammeh because he is married to the the first lady who is 'not gambian', 'morrocon' and 'lighter skin'. I did not know getting married with 'non-gambian', 'lighter skin' and 'morrocon' was illegal in Gambia.
There are many in Gambia having more than one wife. That is the reality of Gambia. It is legal. Gambia has law for it. It is his right. If you don't like this.... too bad. Your uncles, fathers, nephews, cousins, brothers, friends are doing exactly same. I mean the critiques here is acting like this does not happen in gambia. The critiques sound like Jammeh is the first man getting the 'younger' and 'second' wife. Is he?

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices. |

Turk you should know that he is comatose, they are just jealous and envious. They have no respect for the beliefs of other people. Listen to what I have to say to ya'll Karl, I am pretty sure you dont want to discuss how all your family members got married here and what the decisions where based on. Ya'll are some backward unrealistic intolerant fools. Do you think you are more educated or smarter than even Alima not to mention his father, Trust me I promise you not. Just because ya'll player haters can't stand to see the success of any man except your pathetic selves, we as Gambian people have a serious problem. If ya'll want we can discuss your fathers and mothers cos I know all about how they determine who marries who, when, and how, and what your fathers do after every harvest season. ...............................................................Peace |

I am a happily married woman thanks.
Jammeh's marital arrangements is between him and his wives. What else can I say? Now if it was my husband taking another wife then that would be a different story altogether.

Dalton1 a good summing up of the position, I think that sometimes it is forgotten that H.E. is also a man and men as you observe when you write "The girl though is a cutie pie for sure." so any relationship that H.E. has with his wives is likely to go through the same problems as any normal marriage and that has noting to do with anyone except the participants in the marriage. |

Is it true that Mrs Jammeh No.1 has absconded with two of her children from this Kanalai wedlock?
When Zeinab stepped in, Tuti Faal stepped out. When Alima stepped in, Zeinab stepped out. Who is next in queue to step in for Alima to step out? A whole musical chair show at Kanilai! |

Moe "kun tang". You know what, you should definitely know your limit. Its about time you start using your head instead of your fat belly judging things when its comes to realities in The Gambia. You constantly engage yourself refusing to accept facts on socio-political issues currently facing the Gambia under Jammeh's dictatorship. Let me tell you, discussing issues don't warrant personal insults to others. Such a character makes you the very intolerant person, don't you think? It only shows lact of substance in your defensive arguments. You always think you have the monopoly pushing the immoral botton throwing personal insults in this forum, but hey, you're wrong! Many are equally capable, not only to push the same botton, but even able to operate the hard core manual if thats what you're looking for. Don't tell me insulting others is your only strength! Such a behaviour only shows your complete disrespect for yourself and that of your family...right!
People are not blindly against Jammeh, there are million and one reasons. Jammeh is a public figure, and conducting himself in a hypocritical manner, for everything he claimed to stand for or against since July 1994. As citizens, we observe and comment on issues affecting our country under his rule, enough is enough. Jammeh taking a second wife is not the main issue here, it is the manner things are unfolding as part of the bigger picture. The burdensome, surrounding the tyrannical one man oppressive control of the population as in the current Gambian situation says a lot about what goes on in that country and what the people on daily basis have to put up with. As a nation, this will lead us to nowhere. Jammeh feels so mighty around Gambians that, he takes us for granted and act like an old century emperor. The evidences are out there, his individual character, appearance and even through the words he speak says it all. The situation is unjustly harsh, on all including his die-hard sycophants and may be even the new madam. The phenomena is incredible, the writings on the wall and if we fail see this and act accordingly, we'll fail collectively putting our national interest at risk. Many credible individuals are sincerely observing jammeh and the way he is conducting his personal self and the affairs of our country and came to realise the inconsistency on his part.
We're not critical of Jammeh out of hate, jeolosy or envy as you claimed but truely believed his actions are not taking the nation in the right direction. Whether you accept this fact or not, many Gambians, unlike you ("Moe keng-seng"- "Moe kun-tang") and few other sycophants, we'll for ever refuse to accept him and what he stands for; self seeking conducts of a national leader for 16 years cannot be a possitive way forward for the entire nation. Remember, he said a lot of things since he took over, and now his words and actions are full of contradictions, you know, I know, many others know and Jammeh himself knows how far he contradicts himself. Don't you belief, most of his harsh reactions against perceived enemies emanates from self denial surrounding the numerous contradiction they constantly reminded him off.
Our culture and tradition, is a recognised fact but the way Jammeh, the national socalled leaders is twisting these is a worry for many. |

Yes, you have the right to freedom of expression and you just exercised it. Guess what? I will now exercise mine.... you're either drunk or gay. Jammeh or any other person's imbecile action does not justify a grown azzz man to come out here and spew nonsense and insults.
I was going to point out the sheer stupidity in your post but unfortunately, my Aku is not fluent. If you'd be kind enough to translate your post, i'd do you the favor of educating you on how you got the whole concept of freedom of expression twisted. Who knows, Moe may even chip in free of charge |
