I'll leave the arena for the well versed, like you, to dictate the solution.
HOW CAN I DICTATE THE SOLUTION EVERYONE IS CHALLENGED TO FOCUS ON THE RELEVANCE OF THIS TOPIC FOR COMMON CONSENSUS, SOUND RESOLUTIONS IDENTIFIED, ANY STRATEGY & WAY FORWARD THAT'S ALL WHAT I POINTED OUT

I have to say,Gambian politics needs new blood to move from this stalemate.

WE ARE NOT SHORT OF BRILLIANT CITIZENS AND SHOULD DELIVER NOW BEFORE OUR SELL BY DATE EXPIRE WE ARE MESSING UP AND SHOULD CLEAN THE MESS FOR NEXT GENERATION (YET TO BORN)

A new blood that is able to read the times and inspire.

ALL CITIZENS ESPECIALLY THE ELITES ARE BEING CHALLENGED, ENCOURAGED & INSPIRED ON THIS SIMPLE STATEMENT: "Know yourselves, know your country, and the world. Then you shall be the architect of your own destiny."Foroyaa

I find it interesting that after 4-5 years we are talking about the same things with the same unshakable positions. What do we learn from and in such 'discussion space'if not contempt.

YES I AGREE ON "CONTEMPT" ON RESOLVING NATIONAL ISSUES DUE TO INSINCERITY & OUR PERSONAL EGO AMONGST OTHERS "This cause is bigger than any individual or group of individuals"Lawyer Ousainou Darboe UDP Leader

This beating about is not solving it, ....so

THAT'S WHY THERE IS NEED TO LIVE-UP-TO EXPECTATIONS ON DUTY, RESPONSIBILITY AND MISSION IF YOU KNOW YOUR MISSION AND DUTY THERE WON'T BE ANY PROBLEM TO FACE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

IN THE SERVICE OF "GOD, COUNTRY & OUR PEOPLE" CAN HELP US TACKLE OUR CONTEMPT AND DIS-ORIENTATION

You are right on this. Not much progress. And here is my contribution for this.

There is no progress, because the problem of Gambia is social-cultural-economic. The political process itself does not change much. There is so much value to put on only political process. The political solution only would work along with social-cultural-economic progress.

The second one is limitations of participation. Only, small elite are part of political process. Elite and educated. The rest of population do not have opportunity and platform to be part of the political participation.

diaspora! Too many Chiefs and Very Few Indians.

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices.

LOT OF FACTORS HINDERS PROGRESS! PRESENT GENERATION OF ELITES ARE MESSING UP OUR COMMON NATIONAL CAUSE SO WHY RESIGNING FOR "NEW BREED" TO CLEAN UP MESS

WE APPEAR TO BE LACKING FOCUS TOWARDS THE COMMON GOOD

WHAT IS OUR MISSION

WHAT IS OUR DUTY

WHAT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY

Bro Kobo

What do you mean by “present generation of elites are messing up our common national cause.”

TO CLARIFY PLEASE NOTE THAT STATEMENT IS DIRECTED AT ALL OPPONENTS OF JAMMEH/APRC! AND HAVING CONCEIVED IN MY MIND THAT ALL OF THEM HAVE A COMMON NATIONAL CAUSE; WHICH IS TO GET RID OF JAMMEH/APRC AND RESTORE BETTER DEMOCRATIC GOVERNMENT (i.e THE COMMON GOAL)!

"This cause is bigger than any individual or group of individuals!"Lawyer Ousainou Darboe UDP Leader

THEREFORE IT IMPLIES;

1.WE CYBER ELITES (ALL OF US) ARE ONLY ENGAGED IN MALICIOUS CRITICISMS, VICIOUS SMEARING AND SLANDER AGAINST JAMMEH/APRC WITHOUT FOCUSING ON HOW TO MOBILISED AS OPPONENTS TOGETHER TO GET RID OF THEM

2. ONE COULD SENSE AN UNDERCURRENT OF HOSTILITY FROM CERTAIN ELITES ON PARTISAN POWER STRUGGLES, UNDERMINING COMRADESHIP, PARTNERSHIP, SOLIDARITY, BONDING, TEAMWORK AND ESPRIT DE CORPS TOWARDS THE COMMON GOAL

3. ALSO OBSERVED THAT THERE ARE LOTS OF COUNTER-PRODUCTIVE MIS-REPRESENTATIONS, DISTORTIONS AND MIS-LEADING STATEMENTS PEDDLED ON-LINE BY US (SO-CALLED ELITES) RIPPING OPPONENTS AND JAMMEH/APRC THRIVING

WE SHOULD CLEAN UP THE MESS AND NOT CONTEMPLATE RESIGNING FOR "NEW BREED"

...US (SO-CALLED ELITES)...

Bro Kobo,
it seems to me that you are sugarcoating, a "so called elite" is no elite, but, I understand you are not comfortable with calling it for what it is.

Secondly, "a new breed" will not waste time trying to clean up after anyone, rather, will be reoccupied with more important things at hand.

WHAT IS YOUR BEST DESCRIPTION OF A HIGHLY EDUCATED OR INTELLIGENT PERSON (OR GROUP) THAT DISPLAYS ATTITUDE(S) OF AN ARROGANT PUBLIC OFFICIAL(S) IN OUR POLITICAL DISCOURSE ACROSS ON-LINE FORUMS/MEDIA/CYBERSPACE OF COURSE THE VOCAL ONES ARE ELITES BUT I MUST ADMIT THAT ITS DIFFICULT FOR ME AND FELT UNCOMFORTABLE TO DESCRIBE THEM

Secondly, "a new breed" will not waste time trying to clean up after anyone, rather, will be reoccupied with more important things at hand.

YOU DON'T GET MY POINT? ARE YOU SAYING CITIZENS, POLITICIANS, ACTIVISTS AND MILITANTS ARE NOT DOING IMPORTANT THINGS AT HAND; AS NATIONAL ISSUES ARE AT STAKE? THERE ARE ALREADY "NEW BREED OF ELITES" AND SHOULD FACE THE POLITICAL CHALLENGE TO FIX THE SYSTEM AND NOT CONCEDE

WHY CAN'T PRESENT GENERATION OF "ELITES" MARSHAL "FACTS", "SOUND ARGUMENT", CLEARLY ELIMINATING "ATTITUDES", "PERSONAL INTEREST" OR "GROUP OF INDIVIDUAL INTERESTS" FROM NATIONAL CAUSE AND FORMULATE THE STRATEGY ON WAY FORWARD
