Toubab11020, why are u always standing up for Jambo, this is not the first time, he's a toubab like u eh? What a show of solidarity!!! U people make us poor and then send us back your trash to help on individual basis.

MJT, sadly, there are always people from the other end---Gambia, looking for charity contacts, it's a pity. Why dont these characters go to the Arabs? Arabs are not blacks, and some of them will be sent home from the arabs in body bags, they know that.

The reason why I donīt agree with individual help is that the one who decides to help the child may suddenly stop doing that for her own selfish reasons, just like Jambo showed here. As soon as something is not done according to Jamboīs way or plans, things wont work. The child will no longer be helped. I think itīs totally wack that some people start helping a single person and then can widraw just like that! Do you realize what you are doing to these people when all of a sudden the money stops coming? Sponsoring someone is a HUGE responsability, those who donīt realize it and are not professionals should not get involved with these projects in the first place!

Professionals help a whole community and not individuals. Some, though not all, of these individual helpers are looking for young girls and boys, pending on their inclinations, to play with. Some of these individual helpers ruin more than they help.

jambo personally i think you should of gone to the mother first, to discuss the suggestion of extra classes, this situation would not have arose then. As the mother would have voiced her preference for the home tutor before you had parted with any monies, you could of then paid for the home tutor and not been out of pocket.
I would not argue over D250. You should pay the tuition this time but learn that you need to discuss and agree things with the childs parents before taking any action in the future.

Babygirl, why are whites discriminating blacks on twenty four hour basis for centuries now. What is there in this world that is not black and white. Some of u dont want to hear anything from blacks coz u are superior, that's a white lie.
What u get in Gambia u dont get in england considering your age. U are not helping, u are corrupting the morals of my people, it hurts.

What a load of crap, just try to see through the mists of your anger hate and jelousy and discuss things so that there may be a result to the discussions and not just having a meeting or conference to talk words and try to show how big you are, believe it or not I don't mean to insult you but just trying to make you realise that always being angry and thinking everyone else is wrong is your job in life, try to be pleasant for a change eh?

Any genuine person wanting to assist school children WITHOUT STRINGS ATTACHED should go to the Ministry of Education and DISCUSS WITH THEM IN THE WAY HE/SHE WANTS THE SPONSORSHIP TO GO. A child hood friend of mine was sponsored from primary school up to first years in high when this OLD WHITEMAN invite him to his hotel to spend the night with him there. Guess what? LATER THAT NIGHT HE ATTEMPTED TO RAPE THE BOY. THE BOY WAS SCARED TO DEATH. Firstly its against our culture for people of the same sex to make love. Secondly even if he was the opposite he was old enough to be granny! That's taboo. But these are one of many tourism related problems affecting our country. It would be a surprise that we start having homosexuals in The Gambia.

As a developing country am not against true friends lending hands to us BUT WITH NO STRINGS ATTACHED.

I am a stranger to you. You do not know anything about me so how dare you imply that i am corrupting anyones morals!! Do not make assumptions when you know nothing about me. It is just insulting when you are so far from the truth!

For the record, I lived and worked in Gambia for several years. I am now a regular visitor. I do not visit Gambia to GET anything. I did not live in Gambia to GET anything.

So i have never corrupted anyones morals!!!

During the time I lived in Gambia I met some of the nicest people I have ever met in my life and they have become more than best friends, they are like family to me!

I visit Gambia to catch up with my mates!

But its hapening also in gambia, you just dont talk about it.
There is a big diferent of what show outside, and what you do when you are in you house.

And please understand that to be homosexual is not the same as to be a pedofile, becouse also heterosexuals can be pedofile.
