just read the some rual areas ar eot get electricity, why did it take so long. I think yaya is on a mission to play catch up with some of the project that have been dormant for a long time. He is scared and is looking for the "what have I done for you" vote.

i dont think this has to do with politics. its just a coincidence that the project finishes this year i hope. the project has a specified lifetime. |

FOLKS AS NJUCKS HAVE RIGHTLY PUT IT. LETS LEARN TO GIVE CREDIT WHERE IT IS DUE AND CRITICISE WHEN OTHERWISE.THE ROADS ARE FOR GAMBIANS, THE ELECTRICITY IS LIGHTING UP GAMBIAN HOMES. WHOEVER SUCCEEDS JAMMEH TOMORROW WOULD ATLEAST CONCENTRATE HIS EFFORTS ELSEWHERE OR CONSOLIDATE THE INFRASTRUCTURE IN PLACE. IF I WHERE IN THE GAMBIA, I WOULD NOT HAVE VOTED FOR JAMMEH NONETHELESS, MY CONSCIENCE PRICKS THAT I APPRECIATE THE LITTLE HE IS DOING.
JAMBO WHY DO MAKE SUCH INCITING STATEMENTS AND LIVE THEM HANGING ON THE BALANCE. ARE YOU NOT GAMBIAN? PREVIOUSLY YOU THREW SOMETHING LIKE A SCARE AS TO WHETHER IT WAS SAVE TO TRAVEL TO THE GAMBIA IN THE WAKE OF THE COUP ATTEMPT IN MARCH. THAT SCARE TO ME WAS A MINOR TRAVEL ADVICE AS WE HAD BY THE BRITISH GOV'T IN THE DAYS FOLLOWING THE JAMMEH COUP. I CALLED FRANTICALLY HOME TO BE ASSURED THAT THE SITUATION IS NORMAL. FOLLOWING THAT A GAMBIAN PROFESSIONAL WHO IS BEEN LIVING IN THIS COUNTRY(UK) FOR MANY YEARS , BUT REGULARLY RETURNS HOME CONFIRMED THAT THINGS WERE NORMAL.YOU THE SAME JAMBO, SENT A WHIMPER THAT JAMMEH SHOULD INTERVENE REGARDING your BURUSHIBI HOMES AS SSHFC IS NOT KEEPING THEIR SIDE OF THE BARGAIN. IF JAMMEH SACKS AN INCOMPETENT HEAD , YES WE KNEW HIRING AND FIRING. JAMBO WHAT YOU ASKED THE PRESIDENT TO INTERVENE IS IT THE RIGHT THING TO DO? IF JAMMEH CHASTISES A GREEDY CIVIL SERVANT WE HASTEN TO CALL HIM A DICTATOR. LETS FACE IT. I WILL ALWAYS SAY IT LOUD DESPITE MY PROBLEM WITH JAMMEH, WE STILL HAVE SOME VERY DISHONEST CIVIL SERVANTS. THE GAMBIA IS BIGGER THAN JAMMEH. THE EVIL THAT MEN DO LIVES AFTER THEM THATS WHAT I BELIEVE IN.

I agree but only to to some degree. If jammeh fires a dishonest civil servant that is most welcome and i will commend him for that. But i hope he lives his life beyond reproach. He is as guilty as the civil servant who is fired. He is therefore not on a morale high ground to denounce others. As the mandinkas say

| I want to agree with Madiba because the report on the progress of Rural electrification programme is very impressive when I read it from the Observer newspaper. I do appreciate those positive efforts of development. |

As some would like to put it THE PRESIDENT IS OUR SERVANT. SO IT FOLLOWS IF THE SERVANT IS MISBEHAVING, THE MASTER(GAMBIANS) SHOULD DISMISS HIM(THE SERVANT). SO LETS JUST DO THAT. BUT I CAN'T SEE THAT HAPPENING TOO SOON IF WE(GAMBIANS IRREPECTIVE OF POLITICAL AFFILIATIONS)DON'T POOL OUR RESOURCES AS IN A COALITION. A WELL DESIGNED COALITION I STRESS.

What makes you think i can be president? Bro stop that. You know am shy(laugh). I love working in the background and for the locals to enjoy the fruits of my labour. I think we should all throw our weight for any RIGHT presidential aspirant. As a preofesssional I INTEND TO RETURN HOME SOONER THAN LATER WHEN I FINISH MY STUDIES.
I would like to use my knowledge , experience and expertise to help build a better Gambia for Gambians and generations yet un-born. Thats my dream to leave a living testimony/legacy to the future generations. I hope have not started talking like a politician(laugh)
As a professional i think i would be better behind the scenes. |

Am not a politician and never wil be. Never openly involved myself in politics of Gambia to this level of "Hard Talk" and frankness but very active in Youth, Sports, Social and Community development. However there are political issues of grave concerned and felt motivated by the roles of our political activists, discussions to address them, to gather facts and information. |

Am not a politician and never wil be. Never openly involved myself in politics of Gambia to this level of "Hard Talk" and frankness but very active in Youth, Sports, Social and Community development. However there are political issues of grave concerned and felt motivated by the roles of our political activists, discussions to address them, to gather facts and information.

| I just wonder if there ever will be current in the rural areas. This seems to be a major problem in Banjul and Serekunda and the coastal area. Wiring is one thing but producing and transporting electricity is another problem I think. |

Its already at an advance stage I believe so from recent reports. Its a decentralistion programme I reckon and each region or division will have its sub-station equipe with its power plants and high capacity generators and the resources and logistics to serve that local area wiithin main towns like Kerewan, Farafeni, Soma, Bansang, Kaur, Georgetown, Basse, Fatato etc where they can strategically be located. It may not involve transporting electricity. |
