For years I have been following developments on Bantaba in Cyberspace and throughout I have learned a great deal from great debaters on topics ranging from Arts and culture to Politics to sports to music and so on affecting Gambia and, many times, beyond. And I am not the only one following things from the sidelines. I believe that debaters like Turk, Lilly, Janko, Karamba, Shaka, Kobo, Toubab, Dalton, Nyari, Kay, Sab, Momodou, Gambiabev, and every other debater here and elsewhere, are all doing something for the Gambia that she profoundly needs: Debating out political and ideological differences!! I also believe that no matter how much we differ on issues, we are all united on a common purpose: meaningful peace and development of our people.
All this time, I have torturously restrained myself from participating in the forum as tempting topics were being discussed. I did that because I felt, among other things, that it was also rewarding to read and learn from what others had to say on those topics. And I was right! Undoubtedly, like anyone of you, I have both agreed and disagreed with so many of your inputs but that does not matter... I know we know that we are not here because we agree on all issues. Not at all!
Anyway, I decided my first topic in this forum would be one that will acknowledge the great work Bantaba(Momodou) and all of you are doing- sharing informations/knowledge with those you know and even those you don't. I hope to be doing my part soon but for now I have only one thing to say: Let the debate continue!

Don't worry about not contributing. Understanding others is more important than being understood by others. |

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices. |

Thanks, Senegambia Dialogue is the key to understanding and harmonious co-existence, without it society descends in turmoil and unnecessary bad feeling. Your contribution would be highly appreciated.

Senegambia, a pleasure reading your first contribution – it’s like an antidote as I feel recently there are too many mischievous stings in the postings.
I look forward to reading/learning from your knowledge & points of view. Enjoy the facilities; Momodou has given us a true gift. Regards,

I warn you about Karamba poisoning your mind with his ideas. Just be careful. :) |
