diaspora! Too many Chiefs and Very Few Indians.
Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices. |

That sounds like a nice degree, since a degree is as good as what you can do with it; right Tamsier

| A missed opportunity perhaps. He could have earned a place at the Gambia's State House mosque. Perhaps as a Deputy Imam side-by-side with Imam Fatty, anothet great Saudi scholar... |

Thanks Sab for posting on the above info on this site. Hopefully this will stop the nonsense spread on here that Jammeh supports Terrorism made by irresponsible shorted sighted haters. Whose complete idle and unfounded gossip help to conjure up fabricated stories such as Abdullah Al-Faisal being welcomed in Gambia. it's as if people have forgotten that between 2001 -2002 a Terrorist subject was caught in Gambia and sent to Guantanimo Bay prison Camp in Cuba. The Gambia Government has shown zero tolerance to Terrorists.
The question is why didn't the Kenyan Government deport Al-Faisal straight to Jamaica? I would take a guess that there are no direct flights to Jamaica from East Africa. Therefore he would've had to land somewhere in West Africa to connect to to US to fly from there to Jamaica. It's not really at all surprising that Nigeria refused to fly him to the states because of the failed suicide bomb attempt made by one its nationals last month. The Gambia government despite what its critics might think is no training ground for fanatical extremists and has no desire of having them step on its soil.
I would imagine that the last thing Al-faisal would want right now is to be sent back to Jamaica right now...http://www.csmebiz.com/?p=1873 Here is Kingston up-date on the situation. http://www.jamaicaobserver.com/news/AL-Faisal--Tue--Kan-11--2010_7320375
