It is about time Gambian opposition leaders stand up to the dictator and call him for what he is. In an unprecedented move, UDP party strongly defy the self proclaimed IGP for Jammeh for refusing to grant them a permit to hold a political rally...

In what was described as a fired up Darboe, the UDP held a rally regardless of consequences...

Read the story at Gainako... http://www.gainako.com/news/

Jammeh is weak when confronted and it is about time someone stand up to him...

Well done Demba and good team of Gainako big hands!

There is no way that this armed bandit Yaya Jammeh will ever behave civil. The fellow is playing hostile with loaded guns given to thugs calling themselves revolutionary what!!

Best thing for Gambians is to go totally defiant. If the bandit is not feeling guilty for this long hold gun terror on calm and good people in all 15 years, what do we have to care any more? This move by UDP or any politically motivated group is best remedy to contain tyranny and cruel Yaya Jammeh affair.

End of Yaya is closer than than many think of it. Down with armed banditory!!

The UDP defiance is a good move, we all loath violence and olny a mad man will wish it to his on country, but comeon all enough is enough, the inspector general has NO justifcation for his continuous denial of the oppostion to hold rallys when APRC does hold rallys whenever and where ever they wish without even applying for a permit. If he dares not deny APRC, why the oppositions? Bravo UDP and keep the trend up.

Folks,
It is a sad state of affairs.

I am sure jammeh is actually looking for the bigger ones like Darboe, Halifa, etc...

to arrest peters, is just an experimental-rabbit test.

Gambians, "get up! Stand up! -for your rights" like Bob Marley would groan in his grave.
