What is it that; when it is a new born grows two horns , when it grows mature, loses the two horns and when it grows old and before it dies grows two horns again?

Here is another;
What is it when born, has four walking limbs; when it grows to middle age, has two; and finally when fully grown, has three?
That's a good one too.
thks, D.... |

Batchi,
You can do it.
Hints:
Don't even go too far in your thinking.
I will let you & others think over this. This one is from the grandmas -the wisdom of our great African philosophers. It goes a long way showing the power of our own African literature. That is the path of Ham Pateh Ba (a literary man of times from Bundu.)

Hi Mansa,
Happy new year to you.
you sure solved the riddle i posted.
However, I didn't fully get it though how Kani's riddle could be the moon. Please help explain. I know a baby crescent has two horns. Also, a full moon (circular) looses it, but how does it regain the horns back?
thanks, D. |

Dalton, the first quarter and third quarter moons are called a half moon. Now, the first couple of days into the new moon and the last couple of days on the same month are mirror images of each other. Therefore, the moon has horns at the beginning and at the end. The diagram below will illustrate.

Absolutely true 2bab. He did it, especially with the illustration in the diagram. This is a good one. & thanks Mansa.
Here is another one in pullar. It is a direct translation but it will work. Sannah is a name.
Sannah is lengthier than Sannah but Sannah is taller than Sannah.
2bab, u too, give this a shot.
