2bab, You are intelligentia itself. The riddle above refers to a 'road' and a 'tree.' Though a road is normally lengthier than a tree, but a tree is taller and overseeing a road. In pular, it works really good but might not be applicable to other languages.
*Sannah -normally a term refering to lengthy objects.
But I will give you one in 2bab language (english) and you can resolve it. It is my own craft.
Watching it from the distance, it is a pool of water and once you get to the spot, the pool will disappear. You will repeat this the whole day without success of seeing water.
hints:
This one is physics/maths
Good luck to you 2bab.

| Dalton, what you are describing is called a fata morgana. They say you come across them again and again when you're lost in the desert (i am not talking from experience this time). |

Hi Anna,
You can put the mask on 2bab's head now. That is absolutely so. your description is perfectly right; short for mirage.
thanks Anna!

Toubab language, that I understand,Anna beat me to it (or perhaps not ! ) with her poetic language for a Mirage Fata Morgana
O sweet illusions of song That tempt me everywhere, In the lonely fields, and the throng Of the crowded thoroughfare!
I approach and ye vanish away, I grasp you, and ye are gone; But ever by night and by day, The melody soundeth on.
As the weary traveller sees In desert or prairie vast, Blue lakes, overhung with trees That a pleasant shadow cast;
Fair towns with turrets high, And shining roofs of gold, That vanish as he draws nigh, Like mists together rolled --
So I wander and wander along, And forever before me gleams The shining city of song, In the beautiful land of dreams.
But when I would enter the gate Of that golden atmosphere, It is gone, and I wonder and wait For the vision to reappear.

2bab,
I am with this mighty poem you forwarded. It sure does capture 'mirages.' I tell you that, the imaginary situation of mirages is not fun for desert journeys. But you are right Anna is carrying the umbrella of Hampateh Ba, a great African literary man.
