I am semi veggie (eat fish about once a fortnight).

I HATE the killing of any animal being used for sport.

BUT if the kill is eaten by the local people I think that is part of the natural food chain and I would never object.

If the animal has had a good quality of life and then it is slaughtered humanely how can you object? Especially when every bit of the animal is used to its full potential.

I have been in a compound at Tobaski. I didnt eat goat. BUT I saw it happy and alive and then slaughtered.

I saw it being skinned and chopped..then later I saw everyone enjoying eating it. Nothing was wasted.

I have no objection to that. It is nature in the raw. In the west we are disconnected from reality...so when we buy meat it is preprepared under plastic in the supermarket.

If you eat meat you should be aware of reality and if you dont like it then you shouldnt eat it.

If I know the animal has had a natural life I dont mind eating it.

Sister , talking about Tobaski and meat made me feel homesick again, why did you bring it up oh dear, home sweet home. I heard about a certain Gambian celebrity who used to cry come Tobaski for missing the meat, Christmas for the fanals and ambiance ,Gambia is so sweet.

I am 'homesick' for Gambia too at the moment. Tobaski in Pirang was an experience I will never forget. The scene and the Mosque with the whole village praying outside was amazing and I felt totally accepted and happy.

On my study notice board I have a picture of the temple tree at Tendaba and when I am stressed out about work I often imagine myself walking down to the water and sitting at the end of the jetty with a cold beer. Bliss. Life can be so simple if we want it to be.

Why cry. I am not holding your hand. If you are not going to shoot dont aim.

Unless the world is not what it is or used to be, Eagles are one of the biggest meat eaters in the bird family. Very aggressive on their victims.
