Turk, the collective suicide theory is an overstatement. Just because you observed a few isolated social ills, does not give you the EXPERT knowledge to pridict a whole nation's future.

I mean Lukers theory isn't backed by any credible independent sources or stats.

Commoners predicting the future of a whole people based on their narrow personal experience, is often very wack attempt of SELF PROMOTION!

Oops, i'm going off topic, back to the chi chi talk.....

Venerable and wise Dalton, will you please explain to some of your compatriots what satire is. in fact would any one try.

it seems Prince also took my take on Einstein seriously as well and is now looking for evidence. oh dear me. what a waste of effort that was..

you know, humour makes life worth living, but it ain't working on this board.

Yes. That is why it is my theory. Let me repeate, based on my personal observation, I believe Gambian society is going backwards economically, socially, politically. I classified this a 'suicide' because the status quo is accepted/defended by most. Trust me it is amazing how many defended the HIV treatment.

diaspora! Too many Chiefs and Very Few Indians.

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices.

It is always easy for a SMALL UNITED to defeat a BIG DIVIDED I belief most of us can now realise the BIG divide amongst our selves. If beautiful country like our Gambia can have her sons and daughters always at eachother's throat, then outsiders would always penetrate us and would always succeed in what ever plans they come up with in their own interest

And this is true In Africa. The west never personally kill any of our leaders. Our own brothers did because we are divided.

I'll leave it to God the creator to judge. Seriously folks, Why does he say such stupid things in public? We all know that homosexuality is frowned upon in Gambia. He is a moron. He is not a statesman. We are tired of being embarrassed. Is it time we as nation chop off his head before he completely destroys our country?

Justice must be served as impunity brings more repression and corruption!

Different cultures have different concepts on what is funny, take the UK and the US for example, quite often UK humour isnt understood at all in the US The Germans and the UK as well, just look at the swimming pool jokes made by the brits about the Germans getting up at 5am to place towels on the sunbeds to "reserve" them.the Germans couldn't see anything funny in that!!!
I have tried as well with the same results most times,as I said a culture thing.

Has IT started now? maybe!
Gambia News : Two Alleged Homosexuals Arrested

Full story:http://www.gambianow.com/news/News/Two-Alleged-Homosexuals-Arrested

Snippet.

The police last Friday arrested two men believed to be homosexuals, this paper has been reliably informed. The two are reported to be Spanish nationals.
Pere Joan, 56, and Juan Monpserratrusau, 54, held at Kotu police station, allegedly approached two taxi drivers (names withheld) and made proposals to them.

Our sources said the drivers acted quickly but secretly by immediately alerting the police, while putting up a show of interest in the advances of the culprits who were lured to a rendezvous in Manjai, where they were subsequently arrested.

Wow, I didn't know there were so many gay advocades. With all his misguided reasonings most of the time, I must say I stand by him on this one. We all have families in Gambia, so I will not stand by and watch what happened to the people of Sodom befall my love ones.

Homosexuality is not a way of life. It is an abominable vice!

If someone orders the beheading of European citizens, then someone will someday be sent to The Hague to become Charles Taylor's bitch!

Mansasulu. Not Gay advocade. In my opinion, I do think homosexuality is social/psychological disease. Government can condemn it, ban the marriage, fine them with money, do something to discourage. And those who are refugee, tell them homosexuality IS NOT A VALID REASON FOR REFUGEE STATUS. But we are talking about beheading. Do you know if there is any reference beheading gays in islam. Enlighten us.
