Turk, when Abu Bakr (R.A) was Kalifa, Khalid bin Walid (R.A) once wrote to him about a man who committed homosexuality. He gathered the Sahabi and asked their opinion concerning this matter and Ali made the following statement which was unanimously agreed by all the companions:
"Only one nation disobeyed Allah by committing such sin and you know how Allah dealt with them. I see that we should burn the man with fire."
This incident was reported in numerous sources among them 'Fat-h al-Qadir' by Ibn al-Humam and one of Al Bayhaqi's works, 'Shu`ab al-Iman'.
There is also a hadith narated by Abdullah ibn Abbas in Sunan Abu Dawud (Kitab ul Hudud) that the Prophet (SAW) said: If you find anyone doing as Lot's people did, kill the one who does it, and the one to whom it is done.

Snippet.
The police last Friday arrested two men believed to be homosexuals, this paper has been reliably informed. The two are reported to be Spanish nationals. Pere Joan, 56, and Juan Monpserratrusau, 54, held at Kotu police station, allegedly approached two taxi drivers (names withheld) and made proposals to them.
Our sources said the drivers acted quickly but secretly by immediately alerting the police, while putting up a show of interest in the advances of the culprits who were lured to a rendezvous in Manjai, where they were subsequently arrested.
They appear in court today.

As the most extreme punishment of homosexuality. I would seek direct reference from the Quran, rather than judgement reference of abu-bakr. There are several cases that sunnah may not be applied due to validity of the sunnah, in the case of most extreme punishment, death. |
diaspora! Too many Chiefs and Very Few Indians.
Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices. |
