Madiba, if you are in Ireland then you certainly are not contributing to the British economy. Are you aware of the history between the two?

Angry me? Take a cold drink and cool off. If you are from formby i think the bit of sunshine today has gotten to ur head. I have just recently moved to Irleand for biz would be coming back soon to mainland. I have spent all my time in England until recently.
Any little history lesson is welcomed. Am listening. |

I am taking tea to warm up then.
The English colonised Ireland, writing off the Irish as papist heathens, stealing the land, burning the property, oppressing the people and violently punishing any attempt to speak their own language or live freely in their own land. Too familiar a story I suppose. Over many centuries the Irish fought back and in very recent historical terms there is a ceasefire whereby only a small percentage remains colonised and the indiginous and the scotch-Irish *(the poor scots put there by the English ruling class to anchor 'their' land) live together there in relative peace. As a businessman I am sure you know that Eire is prosperous now, and an entirely separate entity from the UK, oh and starting to speak Gaelic again. In a very brief nutshell that's it.
BTW do you know Formby??? I didn't know anybody did.. |
