Just returned from Gambia very pleased i purchased some land 40m x 35m close to the beach (about 200m) and near to the tourist area. The land is in Bijolo. The person i have bought it off has another 15 plots for sale there. Very safe land.He has just reclaimed through court and has a high court judgemant order for it which cannot be disputed. I am hoping to get some fellow " Bantaba" neighbours interested?

| No one is supposed to buld a residential housing in the TDA. Its that simple. Just be careful because if the land is just 200 meters from the coast, you may find yourself in some big suprise. Besides, my advice is to stay away from any land that was a subject of legal quagmire. It may come back to haunt you. |

It's fine as long as you are sure you are the only owner and can do what you like with it! My accountant told me never to invest in Africa what you couldn't afford to lose. My father in law (deceased) used to say you need to speculate to accumulate! He became rich by speculating in property in UK.
I am very cautious. I work hard for my money.
One day I would love a little house in Gambia, but it is looking less and less likely. I don't have enough spare money to take the risk....but good luck to you that do take the plunge! |

good advice. actually its 800m inwards from the high water mark from Senegambia to Kartong. this land i think is lease to th GTA for commercial tourism development. in fact to show you how complicated it is, every development within this area must go through an EIA!!! even before a GTA licence.
one cannot sell what one doesnt own. |

| 2bob, the plots are around £20.000, depending, some are cleared and fenced, they are expected, because of the location to rise quite considerably, during the next 5 years, and despite what some may fear, they are 100% safe, or as near to that as is possible in Gambia!, the owner of the plots as even had D850,000 compensation awarded to them, for the costs and losses, during the last few years. If anyone wanting to buy land in Gambia, and worry's about buying THIS land, then they would not buy land anywere in Gambia!! |

Kon. the Fula man need no sugar. It is man made and very unhealthy. We eat the real deal from the real cow. Men when you know the real food you need no artificial flavor to increase the taste...
Sugar seems to have been discovered by desperate people who can't cook and could not eat their food without sweets. That is not the fula man men... |
