Njucks, you have solved the puzzle. The chinese origins are as modern as any human being on earth but they dont have to discard their way of life.Africans, especially Gambians confused modernity with westernisation. We think being modern, we have to be westernised first.Check for yourself the way gambians operate in our localities.

Gambians are not the only people doing circumsition of boys.

the issue Kondorong is not with circumcision, rather it is some of the deviant acts that occur during the process...we are trying to find out out what actually happens at these cultural jamborees

If you are ignorant of what happens there, doesnt that make you incompetent to attack the practice. If you have nothing to say, why not keep quiet or atleast learn before making hasty conclusions.

You must learn to walk before you run.

it's ok , i'm sure Janko doesnt mind. Santanfara often in the Bantaba we start by discussing 'milk' and end up with the 'dolphins between banjul-barra'

Kondorong, in all fairness, we dont exacty know what is happening in Guantanamo Prison, but one can attack/speak about the practice.

we are all learning from each other.........

Sexual promiscuity and other vices is what goes on there. It seems you are trying to railroad this conversation by taking about things that does not matter.

If you knew what goes on there why not say it straight from the beginning. To assume you dont know and then say what happens there sends a wrong signal.

We want an eye witness account of what happens there. Since you seem to be one, it will be nice if you tell us what indeed happens there instead of focusing on me.
