Toubab1020,
You should probably change the subject title of this thread as Col. Tamba, The Gambia's CDS, is still alive. I think you are refering to Capt. Tamba. Not sure how old he was, but would be surprised if he was over 40.

I apoligize to everone for my error,and for any distress that my posting may have caused to the friends and relatives of Col. Tamba. who may have joined Bantaba in Cyberspace and read what I had first written.I would also like to offer my condolences to the family and friends of Capt Tamba.

You can still edit the topic to rectify the mistake; i.e., replace Col. with Capt. Just click on the "Edit Topic" icon, and go from there. Only yourself (and perhaps admin) can make the change.

Lang Tombong Tamba is a Colonel and, he is the current CDS - Head of the Military. Capt. Tumbul Tamba (deceased), on the other hand, was Mr. Yaya Jammeh's Principal Protection Officer (Bodyguard). Not sure whether they are related.
