Greetings to you all, I am tapalapa a new member and very much looking forward to participating in this exciting bantabar.
I am shipping goods to the Gambia in November. I want to put them in a 12 seater mini bus but it is right hand drive- I realise this question has come up before, but does anyone know what the rules are for importing right hand drives and where do I get permission from ???
Also, would any one be interested in sharing a container ??? The more that is sent the cheaper it is I believe ???
I shipped some goods in March so if anyone has questions I may be able to help
Bye for now

HI,
I shipped 708 Kilos 4.511 cubic meteres, using Brooklands Shippers. The cost was 788 pounds, plus 130 pounds for clearance at Banjul Port(took seven days, they went through every box)I paid extra for electrical goods. .Is this an excessive charge to pay for customs clearance ????
The goods started off from West Yorkshire UK. The above price included transport to the port in the South of England.
Thanks everyone for responses

i cannot work it out because you have taken into account the journey from yorkshire, not sure what electricals you took so again cannot advise if this was a rip off. the shipping time seems fast, mine normally takes two - four weeks. |

Do you pay yourself or is it a charity? It's big money.
Who collects at the other end and do you have any checks that it reaches where you want it to go?
Is what is inside the container worth alot of money? Is it worth paying 1,000 or would you be better buying goods in Gambia?
Just a thought?
I took excess baggage which cost me more than the value of the things inside. But I had promised them to people. Once your fingers are burnt you are more careful!!! |
