KOnds, you've still not got it. We have nothing personal against any one online journalist. All we are asking for is professionalism , true and true. Stories must be guided by the ethics of the trade. Sensationalism, character assasination, etc should not be encouraged. Verify the story before publication, publish stories without affection or ill-will. As a brother already said Jammeh is not completely bad(100%), the stories must be balanced. PA is not completely bad, neither is he 100% good.

We want to change many things back home for the common good, but in trying to acheive that we mustn't employ desperate means such as washing dirty linen in public. As much as you know someones secrets so are yours known to some and yet they are quiet abt it.

The freedom of expression comes with responsibilities. Things we do today may hunt us tomorrow.

Konds besides, the link story has not vindicated anyone. The previous occupant of that post(Omar Faye) was not sacked, he's sos for youth and sports now. Mr. Ceesay worked there before i think as press secretary not as Director of press and public relations. This appointemnt is that of a DPPR.

If only the state could be more generous with information then we will not have all these confusions.

Personally i believe everyone has imperfect qualities. Myself i am sometimes ashamed of what i may have done years back with benefit of hindsight. So must we also understand that Jammeh is human and as such fallible.

However, the difference is to realise one's weaknesses and be prepared to adjust than be a stiff-necked dreamer believeing that one is always right.

What Pa is reporting is that some change may have taken place which cannot be refuted. As to who replaces who or which title is a matter that no one seems to know in the gambia.

If i remember well Ceesay was saying that he had not been moved. May be Freedom has insider information when Ceesay's fate was being decided before Ceesay even received the decision. Thats always a possibility.

The Office of Higher Education was not tabled in the National Assembly i belive nor was a Supplementary Appropriation Bill sent to them for funding. Therefore titles are so difficult to be sure of at anytime.

If the National Assembly does not know, i dont think its fair to blame Freedom for errors in titles. When you can be Commissioner today and then a Governor the next, a minister today, a Secretary of State next etc.

Their style of writing must be apealing to some Gambians because whenever you look at their articles, the readership counts sometimes go to 1000 readers.

Don't Let the number of readers fool you. Some my friends tell me they visit the Freedom website to have a good laugh. To them some of the stories are like first class horror, comedy films as playwrigt Essa Sey is passionate abt literature. The stories are also attimes too petty and only fit for a pure and simple gossip tabloid.

Come on now, we all have qualms about Jammeh and his administration, but destroying the lives of ordinary gambians is inexusable. Pa Nderry is the epitomy of all what is wrong with Journalism. Good judgement is never a substitute to the facts. We are all entitled to our opinions but noone is exclusively entitled to the facts. How dare you Dalton!

Everybody knows that freedom and echo have the same agenda. Never in my life have I seen editorials and news pieces solely on one man alone no matter how evil he is. There is much to report about in Gambia instead of constantly trying to destroy the lives of gambians. Some of them may be guilty by association, but we all know how things work in the Gambia. It is hard to disassociate oneself from the conduct of others, especially when it comes to close relatives.

In the case of freedom, they dont seem to discriminate on who the story should be about. If he thinks this will make him a hero, he is sadly mistaken and if you think he needs to be "engaged," you are sadly deluded. Clearly, Pa Nderry is insane.

Mansasulu,

Your misguided comments are so unfortunate from you, to say the least. It shows who you are any ways.

Well, now, you blamed Pa Nderry, and here you are committing the same wrong, saying unsubstantiated things about others.

If i may ask you, dig his achrives and substantiate your un-called for claims, and geared towards more of misunderstanding threads, than reading in between the lines.

But you know those that cannot be real, are not real, and will never real.

What i stated on there is clear. onl;y a retarded brain or some one with a retarded agenda can come out the way you did.

Often, people preach freedom, but they act retarded.

Go dig his achrives and bring before this forum your claims. And i asked you to go further to call Pa Mbye.
Failure to do so, you put your self in a shameful and embrassing situation.

Pal, it's unfortunate........by the excuse my 'pointing' comments. You just disappointed me with your baseless , unsubstantiated comments.

Uncle Santa.

Well, the story happens to find itself in two newspapers-the "echo" and "Freedom". So there is some trend, something in there, some thing specific.

Mandinkol kol koh, "nih yaa moi huum, wotoh fengnah kah sunkang."

But often, many preachers of freedom are actually 'liars' of freedom.

Cos they often lie about things, that when asked to substantiate, they can neither provide proof', nor pursue truth in it.

You wonder what to do next, other than just reciprocate their rather unfortunate hatred smear campaigns, ignorance to make the individual a wallowing parrot. They cannot even focus on a topic under discussion. Tk for TK, always a fair game.

Like i always do, if Pa Nderry reports any thing, if i want to know about it, i do e-mail or call him to satisfy my own mind. Everyone interested is free to do so, to engage them. his door is very often to people.

I am not moved.....i remain me. I just talked to the guy last night for 15 mins, and he believes his story is true. Until otherwise proven wrong by anyone here or elsewhere, i believe in it wholly.

Note: For 'accountability' and 'transparency' in this forum, my relation with Pa is nothing other than what i have with others here or elsewhere. If that's a threat to any one's palaver, sorry, i can't help the individual.

He edited some of my stories at Allgambian, at gainako and at his own paper, Freedom. Though, there are times when i disagreed with him, it's natural-any one can, but i have more respect for him than some others hiding behing pen names any lying about him. if they are real, they should rejoin to his topic, and engage him in their true selves. That's where honesty starts. I 've said it here before, i was here years before met Pa Mbye. I am not here to be barking the guy, he can fight his own battles. But what is unfortunate is we only believe in a 'blame' game, and never credit him where it is due.

Pa is 'accountable' for what he does.We know how we can reach him. Others are not, cos they remain in the nibs throwing stones on the other side of the fence.

cowardice starts!! Hypocrisy too!

Sorry, but the truth..............

Adious.......

i can't aggree more dalton . pa mbye is doing is bit to make our bleaked country's journalist smile about some thing. just two hour ago ,i was informed about my old friend being appointed as the replacement of yaya's never ending positions. he is a very intelligent guy though. he is a jola by tribe and he reside in birikama . i am disappoined in him but the excuse the person who told me the story he said ,if he reject the post he is unsure of what will happen to him .it seems as if yaya has hepnotise the entire civil service. what a flemsy excuse.
the guy was working for a non-government organisation .mansasulu is putting the cart before the horse. just on his famous topic he was saying lots of things about democracy not effective in the gambia why? he give some good reasons yet recritise pamderrry for doing his best to pin jilanka.

Surah- Ar-Rum 30-22
