I have just returned from a month in Gambia. During my vist I was relaying to my friend things I read in Bantaba. One of the things that facinated me and had all sorts of mental pictures flashing in my mind, was Lemon Time talking about Yorobawel and buying a cow. We went on a business vist to Basse, so I suggested we take a a look at this place to see what its like. It was wonderful, we met this Fula family who sold us 2 cows and 4 sheep. What a trip out!!! the story of getting the livestock back to bakindik would win an Oscar if made into a film.If you are ever in the region it's worth a visit. I am going again in May to gambia and hope I have as much fun

Tom, I am going to Gambia on 25th May. I am travelling to Senegal to meet my mans family and then after a little rest I will go to Tendaba and Kolior! IF the road is still passable!
In between I will be resting at Kotu.
If anyone is in GAmbia at that time I would love to meet up. I can come to Senegambia to meet people by arrangement! |
