Hi Santanfara,
Dont you worry about Sister Omega, she is a Jamaican, who is at a lost. They dont understand African culture and civilization and normally associate themselves with everything european , but unfortunately they dont understand that neither. They are lost morally and culturally!
She is encouraging civil war in the Gambia. And when it breaks out, she doesn't want to know. By calling jammeh's killing of gambians development, by calling the fear that has gripped the nation development means she is totally ignorant of the gambian situation. Sister Omega, We Gambians know better how are people are suffering back home so please dont rub our wounds with salt.

Jangjang there is no use crying over spilt milk. It was Gambians themselves who voted for Jammeh. As for my understanding of African culture I know I am an African and I don't need to justify myself to anyone period.

When a person has no stake, that person can be insensitive. If it stands that sister Omega bends on fanning fire works in Gambia, she is doing it at the wrong time. What Jammeh is doing is not sustainable. Jammeh and people around him know this for a fact. There avails sufficient collection of documentary evidence on Jammeh's atrocities. No worries. Saddam was more stubborn than Charles Taylor. Jammeh is less stubborn than Charles. Where they could not survive it, tell me how Jammeh is able to ? The people around Jammeh only want to loot enough to enjoy after Jammeh is gone. He is worried about that and it is something that infuriates him to all the agressive treatment he subjects them.

I abhor this comment. Given the keen interest Sister Omega have shown in the Gambian affairs and the historical link between the black west Indias and Africans, I think this comment is totally appalling and should be condemned in its totality. Yes, the opinionated Sister Omega has, on few occassions, demonstrated ignorance of Gambian politics and culture but she is stil susceptible perceptional reform. For that reason,I believe she does not deserve such an unpleasant attack.

Please accept my apologies, sister Omega, on behalf of the entire Gambian community in the United Kingdom.

Thanks

I do not oppose unity but I oppose dumb union.

The attack on Sis Omega is uncalled for. She as an African, as a human being has every God-given right to show her support to whoever she wants in The Gambian political landscape. This is because if Americans, Europeans other people can lend their support to different groups in The Gambia why not sis omega? Besides this is a democratic forum irrespective of race or nationality. It is not true that Sis Omega is always pro-Jammeh, there are times that she disagrees in principle with the ruling party back in The Gambia. This behaviour is very unGambian.

The Gambian opposition has demonstrated its inefficiency to deal with the issues at hand and that have resulted in the present situation in The Gambia.

Gambians have spoken and their voices must be respected no matter whose cow is gored.

The Question is firmly resting on Kanilai computer memories. Sis Omega believes that Bantaba is read by people we don't know. I assume this refers to Jammeh and company. Every drop of information from space has a landing point on someone's rooftop. I cannot imagine that message missing Jammeh out. Otherswise, pass it on.

You seem to miss too much out. An election carrying 38% total registered electorates is no load of pride. What happened to the 62% is anyone's guess. I leave that to you good fellows. Every instrument of tormentation from arrests to detention have been utilised by the Jammeh government to get that WINNING. I see that very interesting. let us all resume our clear conscience and have no fear to accomodate the whole grain of truth. What is anyone's pride in brutal schemes for wanting to win, what, ELECTIONS. It is quite an issue for Gambians that the president showing lot of relief for casting Halifa and Hamat out from the National Assembly. Why does he want to be that LOW ? Have you read the latest news from Guinea where the impaired Lansana Conte had his hands twisted by the populace to let him surrender power ?

Karamba lets not live in self-denial. How or what made the 62% to stay away from voting? In the run up to these elctions who are those arrested or tormented? Unless we come out of our cocoons and face the the truth and strategise on how to win the peoples minds then we are in trouble. Wuli and Sedia are examples. The masses were educated in 10yrs and nothing can alienate their support. Looking for scapegoats at all times is not the solution, it only further compounds the problem.

The truth is the opposition failed in their bid to convince the electorate to turn up and vote massively for them as an alternative to Jammeh. This does not however mean that Jammeh is 100% popular. Even when Jammeh is not their choice , and the opposition divided and not up to the task, the best is to save their energies, since neither Jammeh nor the opposition deserve their votes.
