Holistic medicine, traditional cures, ancient wisdom and knowledge should always have a place in modern society. It's difficult to see how one can argue against some of the practices as so many modern medicines have the traditional herbal remedies at their heart.
But a cure for AIDS? No, that is a dangerous claim and an unfair one. AIDS is a deficiency of the immune system and, as such, is beyond a cure because it's not just one thing and every patient will have a different manifestation of the disease...
A cure for asthma - now that's interesting...... |

a cure for aids, no way, a help for hiv symptons, definately i do believe that herbs grown on the round have medicinal benefits but a cure no.

Jammeh is definitely tarnishing Gambia's image. I pity the likes of Dr Malick Njie and SOS Dr Mbowe who are force to tell lies about Jammeh's medical skills or face immediate dismissal.
What worries me most is that our Religious Leaders are brave not to tell him the truth about his healing powers. |

Many people around the world are now running the story about aids in the Gambia. The effects are touching lots of different areas.
1. If you have Aids go to Gambia to get cured. Gambia doesn't need lots of people with Aids flocking in, thats a disaster waiting to happen.
2.If you are a tourist don't get sick in Gambia. If the secretary of state and the top doctors at the main teaching hospital support this alleged cure, what sort of Doctors are they !!!
3.The EU are now starting to ask, why are we giving Aid and help to a regime that makes these claims.What will happens to the Money.!!!
Look at what is happening with tourism now, things can only get worse
Check all the holiday companies european websites and see the special offers. Lots of empty aircraft.
I hope and pray that the voice of reason speak up soon to save our beloved country.

| I read with utter dismay and disbelief the claim by President Yayah Jammeh that he has got a mandate to cure HIV and Asthma. I have always suspected that the President has a sort of problem, but this present claim that is endorsed by the country's health minister, is a disgrace not only to Jammeh and his ruling APRC, but to the nation of The Gambia and the African continent as a whole. No matter what anyone may think of Jammeh, he is still the president of this noble country and people may wonder whatever motivates a country to vote for such an *****. I am really very angry. If only this dimwit knew how many of our African brothers are suffering from this devastating disease, he will not use it as a way to display his ignorance and backwardness. Why is this joke still president? Only God and Gambians know. He will better serve his people by just closing his big mouth, going back to his village and finding a cure to the power drunk madness that he has developed. Are the sane people around him advising him or are they afraid of losing their jobs. God, what an *****. |
