I rest my case.

Konds another good one. Kindly allow me to make few comments.

Jammeh and co came through a coup which is illegal. The system could have been cleansed if the soldiers then handed over to a civil gov't. Despite people coming to lure the soldiers to be turn-coat politicians they should have been honest enough to hand over and go back to barracks. The soldiers(Jammeh and co) are not the only ones responsible, the civilians who talked them into it are also to blame. But as bemoaning slavery and colonialism doesn't help alot, so do lamenting ascession to power in The Gambia. If the politicians had done their homework probably Jammeh and co would have been defeated long ago. PDOIS embarked on political education of the masses close to a decade before they got elected to the NA. Sidia has been tested since in the form of bye-election and the people of Wuli are still confident in him. I believe the removal of the APRC MUST be a gradual process. The structure must be place. Funds must be generated or sought to build the trust of the people at the grassroots. If e.g. an opposition party can iniate viable projects for a locality and sustain them , the gov't propaganda machinery can't hoodwink them by pointing at projects financed by taxpayers monies as their own; in the contrary the opposition can't point out any project atleast as tangible indicator of good things to come if voted into office. The struggle can't be overnight.
The masses be given POLITICAL EDUCATION; PROJECTS no-matter the size must be iniatedto compete the ones being built by gov't with our monies or otherwise; We must be ready to make sacrifices in terms turning away from the crumbs of the APRC and living by what we believe in; the youths must learn to how to earn a living by learning a trade; the success may not be in our lif time but the future generation would be happy and proud of us as trailblazers.

Unlike you konds am not resting my case, ready to go

You see the opposition is not in competition with the government nor should they be. There can only be one state and one president. Tax money is given to the governmemt. Asking the opposition to initiate projects is not feasible. You fell short of mentioning how they should generate such funds. Are you saying the people of Yoro Bawol should be taxed twice; one to the government and the other to the opposition.

You cant have two captains on a boat otherwise it will sink. What the opposition should do is to ensure democratic instruments are followed and guaranteed and lay their programs and not start building roads etc competing. Nor should opposition areas be denied projects as though only government supporters pay taxes. POLITIKI NAHATEH is a dangerous road to take.

Come on Ebra,

The message in simple text and context is that it is not Jammeh to continue mis/ruling. Consider more than 1.5 million capable persons. After more than 10 years, it is fair enough that one person/group tenders an account of things and stay clear. The rest is up to PEOPLE. It is most upsetting that even the most competent person would choose to stay mis/ruling. What do you call that? This is our country. Why does one person/group holds him/her/itself having sole responsibility? By Jammeh stepping down with his group, I bet that will never spell doom for Gambia. We are not to be invited. You only invite people who are not part of an occasion. We are Gambia, we are Gambians.

Thanks karamba

This is exactly what happened in Mansa Konko when Jawara wanted to resign. The only secret to success is change. Those who dont change or adapt cant survive. Thats why the dinosaurs disappeared.

You never know what you are missing unless you try something new.

Then the oppositions should work together and form a united alliance to have more seats in the national assemby. There vote of no confident can be pass. But if not am afraid because if APRC win all the seats, Yahya will be a life president. Yaya to become a life president bill will be propose and pass. So Gambia will find herself in Monach rule

In a democracry that is not possible. Its only possible where the variables have been hijacked by the government and a semingly high popularity is a sign of manipulation.

We have it in many countries where leaedrs get 99% of the votes. Its a joke. Even a husband and wife dont always agree let alone a country.

"IF YOU SEE A TOAD JUMPING IN BROAD DAY LIGHT, KNOW THAT SOMETHING IS AFTER ITS LIFE." (Nigerian proverb)

JII KENSENG BUKA KUMU(mandinka). It means pure water never goes stale. It only becomes stale when impurities are added.

Kons,

The biggest error and misguidance is when people cling to an unfounded belief that a certain person or group is the life over the rest. In Gambia, many still hold a belief that some Rich Men trade with invisible powers commanded by such like KONDORONG. Once some rich people die, their wealths disappear. Without accurate account of all that involves, a wrong conclusion is often drawn. It is concluded that the KONDORONG agreed to recover his money some years after the original possessor (rich man) dies. When you have a whole society gripped by such beliefs, what do you expect from Ebra and other intelligent persons who disregard intelligence for fallacious resorts?

I agree. Infact the reason why these businesses fail after the death of owner is partly because of lack of skills for the family to take over. All roads lead to him alone and as such no one is prepared enough to take charge after death. I tell the you, the 85% muslim population is a very high figure. May be 50% will be true. Many still consult the oracles and believe in the spirits and offer sacrifices.

Well KONDORONGS have been believed to give many cows to the Fulani.
