DEPUTIES RATIFY NINE PROTOCOLS

Deputies at the National Assembly have ratified nine Protocols on Monday. The protocols were tabled before them by the Secretary of State for Justice, Sheikh Tijan Hydara. The Protocols ratified are: (a) The OAU Convention on Prevention and Combating of Terrorism;
(b) The General Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the OAU;
(c) The African Union Convention on Prevention and Combating of Corruption;
(d) The Inter-African Convention Establishing an African Technical Cooperation Programme;
(e) The African Union Non-Aggression and Common Defence Pact;
(f) The Protocol of the Court of Justice of the African Union;
(g) The OAU Convention on the Prevention of Terrorism;
(h) The Protocol on the OAU Convention on the Prevention and Combating of Terrorism and
(i) The Protocol on the Amendment to the constitutive Act of the African Union.
Protocols were unanimously ratified.
