BAKAU COUNCILLOR CASE REOPENS
By Fabakary B. Ceesay

The Councillor of Old Bakau Ward, Ousman Jatta (alias Rambo) on Wednesday appeared at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court presided over by principal magistrate Kebba Sanyang. The senior defense Counsel, Rachel Mendy held brief for Ousainou Darboe. She told the Court that Mr. Darboe had traveled out of the Country, but that he would be back within ten days. She then appealed for the case to be adjourned. The prosecution officer, inspector Bojang, complained that the case had so far been adjourned on three occasions and that his witnesses are all the time present in court. At this juncture, Magistrate Sanyang adjourned the case till the 29th of August. Readers could recalled that Ousman Jatta was arrested in June and taken to Court by the State. He was later remanded and granted bail.
