i read this as well, i think it is timing, i am praying he will be released soon. Lots of people were detained because of pre-au and au summit events. I do not think that yaya can keep so many innocents under detaintion without some sort of public reaction. This is the voice of the young people rising up.

i am not sure since the AU, but there were a few detaintions prior to the AU, at least 5 weeks before some silliness was going on and people were disappearing no reasons given.

I guess what I am saying if some mothers are brave enough, they could do like the mothers of Argentia who organized together to try to find their children who were abducted during junta in Argentina

They are called the Madres de la Plaza

Heres a site that explains more about them.

Could it be possible to organize like this?

You dont need to go that far. In Mali under Musa Traore, the women of Mali led a popular uprising after their sons were murdered by the security forces during student demonstartions. That led to his exit from power. I dont think the will is there yt in the gambia.

at one of the pre au summit, a lady from wanop river association spoke. She made this comment about helping her neighbouring countries, who in effect share blood line that croos any country border. "If your neighbours house is on fire, you must help otherwise you will catch the fire". They organised themselves together and at the first sign of any uprising they inform other tribes this way they control the disputes otherwise their countries/regions/areas would be at war.
If the womens bureau in Gambia get it together and Yaya carrys out his threats and makes all ministers women, watch the change in Gambia.
