After the AU Summit the question that will be lingering in the minds of so many Gambians is what will happen to those villas in brufut.Well this need a proper debate and i need your sound ideas.I think this is an oportunity to invest in our under invested public vices.Sales from ten of the villas could revitalise NAWEC and put it on proper footing.I mean Nawec could purchase brand new generators, train its engineers and put up a sound mechanism to stop sabotage. If this is done i think Gambians would enjoy constant electricity supply to certain extent.Secondly G.P.T.C is another dead public corporation that could benefit from this venture. The death of G.p.t.c led to commercial transportation dominating the market and ripping off the average Gambian. With the sales of yet another ten villas the corporation enough buses for both Banjul and the provinces and capture the market share from th monopoly. With proper strategic planning, management and leadership in place it would not take too long for the coporatiun to control the market. Finally I think university of the of the Gambia needs to benefit from the sales as well.Investment in this area needs to be in human resouces, infrastructure, curriculum expansion, and staff remuneration.folks that is my little brain clicking i need yours so keep them coming.

you have made good suggestions fro these key sectors.
but if you have been following the developments, i think they have already mentioned that they will sell them.
''NAWEC and put it on proper footing.I mean Nawec could purchase brand new generators, train its engineers and put up a sound mechanism to stop sabotage. If this is done i think Gambians would enjoy constant electricity supply to certain extent.''
from the above i think you are concluding to quickly, ten villas to solve NAWECs problems. i dont think so? how big a generator are you talking about. do you know how much power need to be installed to solve the problem??
honestly in US $ these villas are not that expensive, they are with the normal price range. |

Hi, Don't you think the nawec generator problem would soon be a forgone conclusion when we eventually get the helps promised by Iranian and Venesuelan leaders? The peomise they gave at the AU after they ate our spicy Domodas and Benekins. Or would they help only Jammeh and not the Gambia as Taiwan does?
Sometimes when I hear the president saying when he goes abroad asking for donation, some countries would give some to the Gambia and give him(the president) some morney for himself,I collapse with tears/laughter.What a shame.
"Take this and give this to your country!"
Why then not every Gambian be given the opportunity to go on such errands if Jammeh truely has the nation at heart so that every time a Gambian would be Given individual share and the Nation would also have?
Oh poor Gambia, what a true patriot you have begotten?
