B4 Jammeh used to be covered all over as if we lived in the Sahara desert but when madam Zainab came,we have now seen the handsome bloke changed clothing style. Nice isn't it?
Madam influence.We have to make boss ladies proud or else we know what to expect in the house when no one hears the two of you. Women know exactly how to make a man beg(laugh).We could be other people's bosses but we are definately our wives and girlfriends' servants.Which is good for giving power to women,the world benefits while men used it to oppress.

men the whole world like to make statements like these to make women feel powerful when they're really not. it only serves the purpue to make women feel powerful when they're really not and also men to feel that women are powerful so that when they're really presented with the conditon of women around the world they're cling to your examples that women are powerful. its a very false sense of power especially when compared to the other forms of power out there. a woman changing how a man dresses is very superficial and shallow, like the power you claim she has. if we were so power, we wouldn't be discriminated against, beaten, disrespected and murdered everyday like we are. |

| Well roared, lioness! Though there are exceptions and though these exceptions are growing in number, you are absolutely right. For example, what you are reading in most women's magazines is the same old crap in a stylish dress. Compare it with the themes in men's magazines, and you know enough. |

well done yahya.this is our way of life,we used to said if you married twice or more the more reward you will get,i my self didn’t do so and I don’t think also that I do so,hey free man have choice remember.

Ofcause women are still abused,ofcause women are still subjected to all kinds of mistreatments.
But hear this story...,
A woman threw boiling Oil on her husband's face.
When she was taken to court,
she claimed her husband is so handsome that women would not let her live in peace and loving relations with her husband.She claimed she constantly received calls meant for her husband from ladies accross the city.She claimed her husband love her but the threat had made thing stained and for that love to be lasting,she thought she must do something.
she threw burning oil at his face to make him look ugly so that only she will love and stay with him.
She asked the court to evict her on the basis that she will stay married to him for life and care for him.
How about that?
The power am talking about is well clear and you know it.
Only a woman can tell who the father of her child is(in the absence of a scientiful proof).
A woman has more secrets than the number of stars up the sky.
A woman is the family uniter,She will always stand by her family even when it becomes tough.
She is strength in the household.
No Man is complete without women.
How ever great a man is seen by outsiders,the woman doesn't know that.
Despite would recognisation of same sex marriage,but as of now ,
Now president is complete without a first lady of first man.No guy or lesbian has ascended to the throne yet.
So Men politians,Stars, Heros, can't do without women by their side.
YOU WOMEN ARE
Mothers without who no man would be born,
The greatest supper market where food and water is always available,
First teachers/source of knowledge
Happiness,
Source of inspiration/courage,
Power/Strength,
These is the power am refering to and you can't deny you possess these despite every thing.
How can we do without your strength,determination, smiling,beautiful,norishing and encouraging ability to give the world hope?

you seem to miss my point, the powers you mention are in relation to man, how we benefit men or the family. but women the world are dying, supporting their families and men by themselves, basically my point is us women are at the bottom of the pole because the only power we have is to help others, improve others, take care of everyone else except ourselves, what kind of power is that??? women the whole world suffer not because we're not strong, not because we are not resource (we obviously are cause i doubt the world would function with its working mule)we suffer because almost every culture and society that exist teaches women that they are worthless with out a man and child. and when you have these two, you are supposed to put them ahead of you since you are not important by yourself. why do you think even in africa now, women would rather have boys than girls; by the time a woman is old enough to have a child they want boys cause they know society considers boys to be more valuable and their own status is elevated when they have a boy. a person that considers themselves worthless or simply not as good is not powerful, especially when that power does not benefit themselves. if behind a successful man there is a woman, have you ever thought why that particular woman does't spend their own resources improving or elevating herself?
i think your last statement proves my point. |

Hi my dear kassma,
Yes women are powerful and they must stand up to that themselves.This starts from Adam and Eve.When they were thrown out of Heaven,they were separated and they started looking for each other.When they found one another,despite Eve was desperate to see Adam, with the power of restraint,God gave women to use,she pretends not to be.And when Adam said to her :"I have been looking everywhere for you",Eve replied in the negative and Adam kept following her until she accept to be with him.God gave Eve that power to control her weakness after her desperation to find Adam .You women still have that Eve attitude don't you?If men thought of women as weak and you[women] your selves accepts this,men will rejoice as men always want to control.
But what am telling you you know.Except if you blinded your self over it.
The power inside a woman cannot be challenged by any unless SHE allows it herself.If women could use these examples wisely,they ofcause will always control men,
You can only be penetrated by man who see in your eye{Except ofcause in a lawless place].
Men are scared when your eyed are red with anger,
Men can never be confortable when they know you are not at ease,
You talk of Africa,Women in Africa are abused because they allow some of those abuses to happen to them.
In civil war,nobody suffers than women and childreen.And instead of standing for each other[Forgetting that she is the victim today,I might be tomorrow], they allow them selves to be seprated,once someone is raped,her fellow women will be the first that would say....."SHE HAS BEEN SHAMED " .... thus abandoned her to be left at the mercy of her crazy husband.When instead they could stand by her tooth and nail as once one is victim,all can be some day.
Examples
(1)FGM,....Some women instead of rallying behind their fellow campaigners,they insult them helped by men.
(2)Early marriages,.......Some women would tell you too much education is not good for a woman.Infact a woman is best in her husband's house to seek heaven before becoming pregnant by somebody thus bringing shame opon the family.[These are words of men in women ears]
(3)Sharing your husband by him marrying annother,....Some women would tell you I would rather be a first than staying till am old for him to get a young one.I want him to do it now.Because I cannot stop him.No ask your self how comes Fanta is alone with her husband?How did she managed to be single?
You seems unable to use the power you have.
Only you can try to use it beause we men would never want to see you use it but once you try and never give up using it,we are always the ones to back down.
Just take an example of a woman who respects her self in society,
NO MAN DARES WRONG HER FOR THEY ALL SEE THE POWER IN HER
Also compare her with the one who let men misuse her by either through prostitution{not present trade prostitution]or becoming men's mistresses or sex tools,
EVERY MAN WILL TELL HIS COMRADE OH BOY DO YOU KNOW HOW SWEET SHE IS?
BUT MY DEAR WOMEN ARE REALLY POWERFUL. 
Do you know what Mandinkas called "JARABI MUSOO"  [everloved wife]?
No!You must understand,... men used that language not to show their weakness.
Its the power of those women they utilised over their husbands without quarrel or force but with their charm of the power God has given them.
I must stop here for am given you evrything and we want to retain the power you let us have over you.

why are you guys being so defensive. lemon time, what are you trying to say, be clear, i don't understand you.
konderong, i'm not sour and i'm not too blunt, i'm simply honest in my feelings. like i've stated before, i don't believe in sugar coating things especially when i consider them important.
it sure would be a great thing if the men here, especially the african men actually tried to understand what i'm saying but i suspect its easier to dismiss my words and call me "sour". i'm very passionate when it comes to african women and the burden on their shoulders. like everyone else i know, its the women in my family who are the ones who really support the family. this really bothers me because in africa, males are valued more but in reality they don't do anything. the time when having males was something good has passed cause it sure isn't now in the 21st century. and then i feel shame because the rest of the world, its the men that work the most, not the females but in africa its the other way around and i can't help but be embarrassed sometimes how african men are sooooo willing to let their women toil while they do nothing. |
