My skin is shaded pink! Interesting but somewhat biased debate, too much emphasis put on the African immigrant causing financial problems in the UK and not one word about the Eastern Europeans, who have caused our Police Force, schools and National Health Service etc.,to engage in interpretors, not to mention the housing situation.
Plus Child Benefit is sent via our government to the Eastern European home of the workers. ==================================================
Please you extended this, I had not gone off this topic for fear of Admin who likes things African based, however since YOU have initiated this on a UK basis maybe we can have a few lines. Eastern Europeans are a big problem to the UK economy and benefits system, who brought this about , Yes, the EU , the UK being spineless accepted all the requirements made by big brother europe in brussles and oh, yes strasbourg, loads of gravey train money for redundant UK politicians doing this stuff! Who is suffering now the normal UK taxpaying public. I am open to correction on this ,I have been told that Polish citizens who came over to work in the UK and were entitled to allowances whilst in the UK after they returned to Poland after their time in the UK are STILL GETTING THOSE ALLOWANCES paid,if you can add anything to this,it would be helpful, I have been wrong before,so its probably not the last time. Thanks for extending this Sab. |

Yes, I agree with Green that the laws should be changed regarding leave to remain in the UK to be extended to 5 years instead of two. However within the 5 year period targets should be set. So that the tax payer doesn't support either the UK Spouse thus indirectly the new spouse. If the marriage fails within the five year period. Then the immigrant Spouse who came to join their partner initially should return back to the country they left to join their Spouse.
As Britain and other Western countries tighten their immigration loopholes marriage seems the one of the only loopholes left for people to exploit and in doing so many people are left with shattered lives. Desperate people wanting to escape poverty and to support their families will turn to these measures. Let's face it the International Tourist trade Bonanza has fewer risks of failing for those people wanting to seek their fortune abroad. Where there are children involved then the children will have a right to stay with their parent in the country of their birth or return to their immigrant parents country. The estranged parents should be granted visitation and contact.
Tight rules will curtail further abuse of the system or alternative lets just open the borders and facilitate migration and immigration that way assisting the redistribution of wealth. Controversial I know but worth looking into.
Peace
Sister Omega

OK snuggles, the topic is only loosely political, and with the election so close at hand maybe politicians or politicos do now not wish to make comments that could be construed as their parties policy after all bantaba in cyberspace is a political platform in the main

LoL I don’t think it’s because of the elections. We have had blame the colonial father’s card played and the race card played. I think it is people not facing up to what is going on in the real world and the general apathy unless as you say toubab its political Born out by the fact that out of 600 views plus we have had only 1 constructive posting by Sister Omega The figures speak for them self I also hate politics But each to thier own |

snuggles, I feel that this topic is of no further interest at all to regular posters on bantaba in cyberspace, despite that we can all take comfort that 651 people have read our words 7 out of that 651 have felt strongly enough to post,if you compare those reply postings with the usual number of responses that's quite good bear in mind that many readers only visit maybe only once a week or once a month, this has been a good discussion, and more people may post.
What have I written ? I just read it again and its just what a politician may have written,I am very very sorry, what on earth was I thinking !!! |

Ok just a few facts...................
2001 Census
In 2001, the population of the United Kingdom was recorded at just under 59 million people.
Great Britain is heavily populated compared with many other countries.
Britain is a relatively densely populated country: it is more than twice as densely populated as France (106 people per sq.km), nine times as densely populated as the USA (27 people per sq.km) and 100 times as densely populated as Australia (2 people per sq.km).
Britain ranks 18th in the world in terms of population size.
The population of the UK is on course to reach 70 million over the next 16 years, official figures suggest

THINGS ARE NOT AS SEEN TO BE FROM DAILY MAIL REPORT FOR MEDIA
Heard Mustapha's side of story, from freedom radio interview today. He confirmed that they met on dating site but she lied on her age? He was not very keen but she tried everything until she won him. Mustapha felt exploited and betrayed by both a Gambian friend and wife during holidays in Gambia? Even wife's inherited assets worth millions; especially house/estate, Mustapha claimed working and putting money on table, install BT line, Sky and paying for all bills; as lady was not working for past 30 years and not with enough cash on hand? Full report coming soon from FREEDOM NEWS |
