I think that these people who have good intentions I am sure will be asking for big problems if they continue with their project,personally I cannot see anything like their envisioned Africa coming about for many many years.
Africa is not ready for such consolidation in the near future.This idea will be seen as interference.

Andrew Davis, a retired community worker and Juanita Bullough from Manchester in England, are currently on a two-week visit to The Gambia in order to discuss with people on the need for a United States of Africa.
This is their first visit to The Gambia after visiting Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Senegal.
In an interview with the Daily Observer, Andrew Davis, said he is interested in Africa and the problems about Africa, as well as the root causes of the problems of the continent. He said a United States of Africa is the only panacea to problems of poverty eradication and perpetual begging international organisations ."If Africans can form the United States of African and take control of its resources, then the people in Africa would not live in poverty and would not need the charity from the west but it would be the other way round," he stresed.
He called for urgent actions from governments and Africans for the realization of the United States of Africa that Kwameh Nkrumah advocated for until he died. The duo expressed their willingness to partner with anyone who was working toward a UNited States of Africa. Davis described their approach as the only solution to the acute problems of poverty in Africa. He informed that they will be meeting people to make them aware of the need for a one Africa, with one president.
"Africa has tremendous potentials to run its own affairs, to be confident and strong as other continent around the world," he stated. He revealed that their visit to previous countries was very fruitful and have received an invitation from Ghana. He called on African leaders to make the dream of a United States of Africa a reality.
