On a promise of change, the Democrats and Barack Obama stormed into the white house. The whole world watch with euphoric adulation as the Black President gave hope to millions around the world. I wasn't convinced. As such, I asked the question which was glaringly obvious, but which everyone seem to ignore:

Fast forward to this evening; The Republicans have taken the house and it would appear that the Senate is now within their grasp. Clearly the American Electorate is signaling that the change they were expecting have not arrived and as such are cleaning their boots to do a bit of "kicking out".

It is such a relieve that these lefty-whiners are kicked out of office. They were a bunch of talkative losers filled with impractical dreams!

Right wing has dreams too. Have you heard of neo-cons? Evangalists? McCarthy? Dubya? It seems like Obama and his team are overrated little bid, but if I choose the lesser evil, I choose Obama over Dick Cheney, Dubyas and the cowboys any time.
Impractical dreams! Which ones are impractical you are referring? For example Universal Healthcare? I thought it is well done in many Scandinavian countries and Canada. Also, why such relief, are you living in USA? If you are, I understand, if not, how do the left whiners affect your life?

diaspora! Too many Chiefs and Very Few Indians.
Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices. |
