Gambia has recently been the reciepient of two large contracts one of which is Chinese,the other,the NAWEC power project in Brikama, of which has been awarded to a "Finnish company" and is being paid for in US dollars The project, funded by the Islamic Development Bank, has the USD$ been chosen as the most convienent currency to pay by ? Whatever, it shows to me at least that world class players are interested in The Gambia,most likely due to its excellent location ,ports infrastucture,free trade area and other advantages.Politicos I am sure will love this topic.But as its been posted by a toubab probably will ignore it
