I am pleased to see that a person who is a beggar has been recognised as being a person entitled to the same access to investigation and given a route to the justice system that had been a rare ocasion in the past for a beggar. I feel that this incident shows that times and attitudes may be changing in the Gambia from the entrenched and static position that applied before.
