I must admit watchman the security and safety of any Gambian CANNOT be compromised or underscored by developmental aspirations, but taking a good look at all the accusations over the years and how most of them lacked merit. The Jammeh administration seems to have passed the test of time and proven beyond reasonable doubt, their innocence in the complicity of certain crimes committed within their time clock. I can certainly assure you that there is not a shred of evidence collaborating any or most of these accusations, It's criminal to accuse or speculate anyone's complexity in any crime without proof/evidence which most or all lack..................................................................................Peacequote:

We are not acusing Jammeh of anything that has not happened in his watch. When he was a poor soldier in the army barracks did you hear anyone acusing him of anything?
We have plenty evidence to acuse this President of human rights violations and negligence... I can list sequence of events that happened in his watch as the head of State the buck stops at his feet.
Let's take a few examples:
Under whose watch was Ousman Koro Ceesay Murdered and burned to ashes in his car as a serving goverment official?
Did you hear President Jammeh make a single comment about the circumstances surrounding his death? He can comment on his own naming callings in the street but don't know about a government minister being murdered...
Under whose watch were 14 innocent students murdered in broad day light? Whose responsibility is it to make sure that these cases are fully investigated and the culprits brought to justice????

Are you serious, how many Gambian lives are destroyed, parents humiliated in front of their kids for alleged corruption which has no basis?
How many ministries did the President took over under the disguise of it being mismanaged only for him to come back and fail more than anyone else?
Under whose watch was Deyda Hydara murdered few yards from a police station??? Who said "people should go and asked Deyda Hydara who killed him"?
What about all those security officers who were murdered for alleged false coups???

Moe, development is not about errecting tall buildings and stamping your name on every part of it...
Building a stronger society is not about the flamboyant display of monuments and fleece of cars in a poor country like the Gambia..
Gambia has one of the highest inflations in Africa. We produce far less than any other country in West Africa.. Our educational and healthcare system is at the rock bottom... Our government officials are corrupt to the bones thanks to the king of all the corrupt leaders...

That's why I established a blog to show like-minded individuals my ruminations on Gambian affairs of state. I respect your staunch defense of the status quo even if it is grossly imbalanced against the weak, poor and unfree.

Well Chinese Shoes, I try to debate heavy weights and thinking watchman would defend his cause or stance gave me reasons to think maybe and just maybe the brother can stand behind his words. I think your biggest nightmare is financial based and the fact that you have no understanding of personal growth and that could be due to several reasons ranging from exposure. How Jammeh acquired his wealth ? The precedence was set prior to Jammeh ever thinking about being a president, Your lack of understanding of the very constitution meant to guide your thoughts and actions are kinda skewed, When organizations and nations went on record stating their position regarding agricultural ventures and the fact nothing bars the president from doing business should be food for thought for ya.

You mean a whole bunch of unsubstantiated, speculative, and biased opinions " which in all likelihood won't hold any kind of water. Back in the day in my village, Part of the psychological evaluations to test patients involved giving them a basket to fetch water, if they decide to go, it makes the prognosis for the doctor a lot easier. I think you should start listing the sequence of events and I will surely give ya another quick lecture. If your problem has to do with the insecurity within the region and the possibilities, we could also engage in that aspect of it. You are not intelligent enough to know that without evidence and facts about a case you CANNOT comment on the circumstances surrounding his death, I am pretty sure the security forces promised to investigate the crime, whether they have the training or the capacity to solve unsolved mysteries is beyond my imagination. Knowing some of the insecurities within the region I can reassure you that 99% of well planned crimes will go unsolved.

I think it is safe to say this rhetoric does not even deserve a response. I will not waste my time on this garbage neither do I have the inclination to discuss Education or the healthcare industry with you. Until the day you have a sugar cane plantation, manufacturing sugar and a farm growing enough rice to maintain the populace then and only then can we can talk pricing.
