Welcome to the Bantaba Forum. As you can see, virtually all contributors to this wonderful forum are passionated about The Gambia and or her people. Sometimes our views differ in many subject areas and arguments get heated. However, at the end of the day, virtually all contributors have legitimate reasons to be here which I am sure you DO as well. Once again I welcome you to this wonderful forum and look forward to reading more of your posts.

Well Anna and Kay,I should say Yes I wrote it, but unfortunatly I cannot, the words are really well put together and the humour so English (?) I do see that the poster says they are from Germany ,MANY here will not be able to make sense of what has been written and will probably be offended,I thank T-Road Gal for an unusual posting

Yes Anna it is impossible not to laugh. I like the satire, very skillful. But I still suspect either Toubab1020 or Moe has a hand in this work. It is so vindicative of Moe's pessimism about Gambian nature... |

I doubt if Bantaba's Toubab wrote this. Personally, I don't believe Toubab did. Anyway, who wrote this is immaterial. There is a key question which I believe an intelligent guy like you Kay will figure out for yourself. Let me give you a head start.
There are certain Western women who went to The Gambia and got involved with Bumsters. As we all know, Bumsters are nothing more than gigolos. These women knew the deal when they got involved with them and yet try to form meaningful relationships with these guys. Prostitutes by nature [be they male or female] would do anything for money in order to survive. These Western women knew exactly the kind of men these are yet they got involved with them. In this forum, they insult all Gambians irrespective of whether they are bumsters or not. They called The Gambia 'Scambia'; they refer to all Gambians as scammers as well as other vulgar language which I would not be allowed to repeat here. These women are not interested in any other topics about The Gambia e.g. politics, history, culture, etc. All they want to talk about and spend their time talking about is Gambians Bumsters especially Gambian men and in many cases Gambian women as well who they also like to insult and accuse of being in league with The Gambian males. Anyone who goes in to tell them not to generalise about The Gambian people, they insult you until you are left with no choice but to insult them back. This forum is full of vulgarity to and fro so if you are of a sensitive persuasion, don't even go there. Actually, not all of these women have been with a Gambian. In fact, there is a Black American woman called VERONICA2003 who has never been to The Gambia and never been with a Gambian man by her own admission, yet she is the most vocal, most aggressive and the most vulgar of them all. She refers to all Africans as monkeys even though she has been out with a Senegalese man before. She joined that forum in the beginning of 2010. Her three main partners in crime are: Queen Beee [also a Black American]; MaryT and Ayesha [both UK women]. These four have formed a coven on that Forum and used it to insult all Gambians and invite others to do so. Queen Beee has also never been out with a Gambian and has never visited The Gambia. Another important fact: VERONICA2003, Ayesha and Queen Beee do communicate off line to each other. About a week or so ago, VERONICA2003 made a very interesting post to Ayesha about something she was planning to do and she will talk to both Ayesha and Queen Beee off line about it. That was after she had her exchanges with me. I believe that post was about infiltrating the Bantaba Forum. Now I hope you know what I was talking about when I said 'Anyway, who wrote this is immaterial. There is a bigger question which I believe an intelligent guy like you Kay will figure out for yourself.'

Doesn't the link tell us these are words written by Mr Geoff Wiggins from the UK? Who cares anyway, i had to laugh though some parts are over the top and now and then a bit nasty. Maybe a disappointed 'lover'?
Tamsier, aren't you taking this a bit too seriously? Why the story about a forum that none of us are involved in (and wouldn't want to be involved in, by the looks of it)?
I'm sure you do not recognize anything about yourself in this 'holiday account', just like i am sure there are writings about typically Dutch behaviour to be found on the Internet which would make me say 'huh??'. |

Tamsier, Iam pretty sure Toubab didn't write this. Nor did Moe write. I just like pulling my friends legs and make light of the situation.
I do not participate in any forum besides Bantaba, so I don't know any of these women.
I would re4strain myself from passing any judgment on this write-up. I just wanna enjoy it forwhat it is: a crtitical exagerated lighthearted way of looking at the Gambian society. Does it have some truth to it? You bet! But it make you crack up, and that is significant.... |

Thanks for that vote of confidence you should know by now that I have NO wish to offend ,although I found this very entertaining and for the most part accurate,its not my style,I am not a comic as this person obviously is.
I do believe in being honest and straightforward though.

Tamsier,Anna is a very sensible person,I respect her for that and most of the time her thoughts appear to be expressed as I would like to express my own take on things.
However there are other people of all nationalities who have no feelings at all for the effect that their words and actions have on others, this relates to those who hold very strongly held opinions and try by all possible means indoctrinate others to accept that their way is the only way.
It is up to the individual to make his own choice as to which direction to take and live with that decision.
