Those of you sports fans and with good knowledge of various outdoor games, please help. Quite often, it slips through the eloquent lips of commentators, you hear the expression African Football. It is puzzling that a game that is meant to be played by Internationally stipulated rules can have African version of it. Does the expression African Football refer to standards or special ways that Africans play the game?
I can't remember anything like African Basketball, African Golf, Indian Cricket etc. May be those games too have their geographical brands.
