I read again today the horror of eleven more young people travelling the sea searching for a better life -
Bridgetown – Authorities carried out tests last week to determine the cause of death of eleven people – possibly migrants from West Africa – found on a boat drifting off the coast of Barbados.
Authorities were also still trying to determine the origin of the people, who were found in the cramped cabin of a 20foot wooden boat about 80 miles east of Barbados.
A travel itinerary on board indicated travel within Africa. Officials estimate the eleven were dead for about two weeks before the drifting boat was discovered by Barbadian fishermen off the Caribbean island’s south coast.
Rest in peace.

The world would be a poorer place if it was peopled by children whose parents risked nothing in the cause of social justice, for fear of personal loss. (Joe Slovo - African revolutionary) |

Praise be to God they're now in a better place.
I have a UK newspaper article about W African 'boat people'. being washed up on the Canaries. There's a photo of tourists sitting on a beach just yards from where the bloated body of a young man has been washed up - beggars belief! |

Exodus---mass movement of people, for a better life somewhere else, will dog humans until the last human being varnishes from planet earth. Europeans have, in the history of exodus, moved to other areas of our planet where they killed and maimed and finally usurped the land from its indigenous inhabitants.
Black Africans are now moving in masses, running away from despotic rulers and poverty, to other areas where they can take up odd jobs to help impoverished families back home. Can fellow human beings be so merciless? Migrating Africans are not endowed with the means to usurp land from any people they migrate to. Blacks will always be victims and, sadly, have to keep quiet about it. Blacks face a pathological hatred constantly and from all angles.

Years ago it was the boat peole from Haitinow that is a new name for west African migrants going to Europe.
We have to create hope for our own people. many are disappointed having come to Europe to realise what waits for them. Being undocumented is the most punishment one can have. Sneaking around trying to ek a living is very hard.
African leaders have to be made responsible to their people. There is too much corruption on the continenet to extent that there is no hope for young people. State cofferes have been plundered like personal property. THERE IS NO LACK OF RESOURCES IN AFRICA. WHAT WE LACK IS HONEST PUBLIC OFFICIALS TO LIVE UP TO EXPECTATION. I DONT BLAME ANY ONE OF THEM WHO TRIES TO LEAVE AND DIE ON THE WAY. ATLEAST THEY HAVE PROTESTED THAT THEY WANT BETTER LIVES LIKE ALL OF US. YOU CAN ONLY JUDGE THESE PEOPLE IF YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED WHAT THEY ARE GOING THROUGH IN THEIR COUNTRIES.
MAY THEIR SOULS REST IN PEACE BUT MAY THE SYSTEMS AND THOSE WHO DESIGN AND ENFORCE THEM, WHICH FORCED THESE PEOPLE TO PERISH IN THE HIGH SEAS ROT IN HELL. EVERY AFRICAN LEADER IS GUILTY OF PILLAGING THE NATIONAL COFFERS PUSHING THEIR PEOPLE TO FLEE.
THESE DEATHS ARE PART OF OUR HUMAN INSTINCTS TO SURVIVE, TO LOOK FOR BETTER OPPORTUNITIES AND IF WE HATE TO SEE THIS, THEN WE SHOULD VOTE FOR RESPONSIBLE LEADERS TO STEER OUR NATIONS TO PROPSPERITY. |
“When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it--always.” |
