Africa » Gambia Monday, May 03, 2010 Magistrate Emmanual Nkea of the Brikama Magistrates Court has recently sent one Buba Bojang to serve a four-day imprisonment term at the State Central Prison (Mile 2).
However, this development came up when the Magistrate was presiding over the case of one Sulayman Kanu who was earlier on charged with receipt or possession of stolen property. At that juncture the accused Buba Bojang was complaining at the top of his voice in the court room about the condition of one of his brothers who was standing trial of stealing.
He was talking in the court that his parents should not have brought his brother to the court for the offence his brother committed, adding that they should have settled the matter at home. Meanwhile, after realising his misconduct and the way he was talking to the presiding Magistrate, he was instantly sent to mill 2 for four days imprisonment in order for him recover.
