Even where it turns out that Yaya Jammeh is found guilty of all the murders he is stained about, it is still an aspect of being humane that he is not brutally killed as many want him done. It is understood how frustrating things stand like especially for those whose loved ones were swept away by the chilling hands of Gambia's killer gang at higher command. Yaya can still be forgiven. That does not mean people will forget.

Please don't kill Yaya

Again, this statement is open to various interpretation. Those who choose to see it from the point that Yaya Jammeh not to be killed, you have it right. Others will take it to mean an appeal to Yaya Jammeh so that he does not kill (Jemus thou shall not kill.)

Another interpretation and still right.

Let God curse him if he ever betrays Gambia. That is exactly what Mr Jammeh said long time ago. Now that his betrayal of Gambia stands clear, is he being subjected to curse with everything falling to pieces?

In total support of your good views Kobo, there is "no reason to kill a Gambian on Gambian soil." That is exactly what this thread seeks to address. Some families are weeping in deep silence about disapperance and possible killing of their loved ones and not a word from the supreme custodians with any clue or leads. That is painful enough. The appeal in this thread states "Please don't kill Yaya Jammeh."

Subjecting it to varied interpretation, one way to derive meaning from the message can be a word to anyone wanting to kill Yaya Jammeh not to advance with that cruel desire. Another way of understanding it directs to Mr Jammeh as president who is acused of many killings. Where it turns out that Mr Jammeh has killer instincts, this is an appeal to say, Mr Jammeh please don't kill. The thread is by all accounts an appeal to anyone with killer instinct to desist from doing so.

I am not sure what is wrong with sending a simple word of appeal to potential killers so that they think twice. However, Kobo, your own interpretation is still welcome.

Sister Omega, my take is simply expressing genuine opinion. Hating Yaya Jammeh is not the situation as you largely perceive it. What is most hated regards the ways of Yaya Jammeh. He is taking Gambians for a ride much too long. There are people out dining with him who deeply hate him but pretend they love him. That is what I call hate relations. They are unfair to the man. That is one reason that when he discovers the ways of some people, he sweeps them with the electric broom. But, should he stay on and on subjecting people to grow hate for him in disguise as friends? I am simply open with my views and would not bite the flesh of Yaya Jammeh in secret and turn around clapping for him. Those doing that are in their thousands. I am prepared to conduct free independent research to bring the true picture for Yaya Jammeh knowing how his most trusted ones play behind him. I do not hate Yaya Jammeh but totally disagree with his ways.

Where is Kobo?

Do you still feel killing or the intention to kill should not be appealed against?

Thanks for clarifications. Now I understand what topic is all about from you. Its an appeal for those who feel killing or intention to kill (including any nefarious acts or terror threats) to desist from doing so in the interests of humanity.

I don't know why I was thinking the other way round to read that there is intention to kill him; a kind of wishful thinking for some of his enemies

Any appeal for this case from the Daily observer; Murderer sentenced to death under http://observer.gm/africa/gambia/article/murderer-sentenced-to-death

In the most vigilant accord of attention to detail ambiguity has been resisted best possible.
