| Junkung knowing what he did during his regime and clearly knowing what awaits him will rather drag the whole Gambia with him to the fierily pit hole where he comes from. Every day Junkung is tearing apart the mutual understanding and brotherhood that existed between various tribes in the Gambia. The longer he stays in power the longer it will take to undo the damages that he inflicted on our dear motherland. It is time for this monster to go |

Boukassa is the name, u've just opened that folder im my mind's computer. But that man was really mad, wasnt he? What makes them so mad as soon as they become prezzies in Africa? It's a case study.
Taalibeh is right, this is the pinnacle of Yaya's life. From here he is to drop down to the abysmal pit. It wont be possible for him to have a normal life after his, very sad indeed. |

He must be paid a lot of money. I know of a Gambian who earn D100, 000.00 a month in the private sector. He sure is not doing his homework or he is incompetent. You see many of our early PHD holders never continued to develop themselves. They were quite comfortable as the one eye in the kingdom of the blind. I think Saja is incompetent and outdated.
He cannot challenge even the young graduates today and as such is taking a safe ride with jammeh. In public service there is no challenge and certainly not with Junkung. You just need high faluting none senses to survive.

| True. Almost every graduate in the Gambia hardly reads in his spare time. They just join the rat race and that is it. Life needs polishing sometimes to stay competitive. |

I am from the same place as Manlafi and Buba Mendy. These are young men with high aspirations in the military. there isn't much that the civil population could do to avert Jammmeh's atrocities, but his arrest and detention will surely ensue.
I cannot say much because i personally know these guys and deeply feel sorry for them.

| sometimes when you read these postings it seems people just disappear like they say in Gambia menteng melesh! what a sad thing as in those cases they do not make another appearance again. Do you remember the stories of people who are allegedly taken by the djinns. I would not be surprised to hear that angle of explaination for the said acts of menteng melesh disappearances. Watch out for this and it would be the hoax of the century |

WHERE IS SGT BUBA MENDY?
Reports reaching this paper have it that Sergeant Buba Mendy of the Gambia National Army is presently incarcerated at the maximum security wing of the Mile Two Central Prison. According to reports, Sergeant Mendy was arrested several weeks ago and taken to Mile Two Prison. However, the source could not go further to clarify whether Mendy is charged or not. Attempts to reach the Director General of prison, David Colley, for clarification bore nought.
In a separate development, most of the detainees were last week visited by their family members. It is purported that lawyer Ousainou Darboe and Rachel Mendy had access to Mariam Denton.

FAMILY MEMBERS VISIT SGT. BUBA MENDY By Fabakary B. Ceesay
Sergeant Buba Mendy of The Gambia National Army who is currently incarcerated at the Maximum Security Wing of the Mile Two Central Prison is said to be presently weak. According to reliable sources, the family went to Mile Two Prison on Monday, but the officers at the said prison gave them a short time to have access to Buba Mendy. The source further pointed out that Mendy is yet to be charged. According to the source the family found, Mendy is in a poor state of health and his physical condition is worrying.
It could be recalled that Sergeant Mendy was arrested and detained after the March 21 coup plot that was foiled by some members of the Gambia Armed Forces.
GAF SPOKESPERSON SHUTS THE DOOR By Yaya Dampha The Gambia Armed Forces’ Public Relations Officer, Lieutenant Lamin Gano, said he did not know if Sergeant Buba Mendy is charged or not. The GAF Spokesperson made this remark when our reporter asked him to shed light on why Sgt Mendy is detained and whether he is charged. Responding to our reporter’s questions, PRO Gano said: “I don’t know if Buba Mendy is charge or not.” He said all those detained are now under the judiciary and the NIA, who according to him, are competent enough to handle those matters. He said as from now, all matters relating to the detainees should be directed to the NIA and the judiciary.
