A learnt behaviour is the hardest thing to kick as a habit so i have decided to take my time once again to try to enlighten ya'll about how and where you went wrong?.You can thank me later if you PLEASE.

Anyways the object of a newspaper is to allow the readers to read an in-depth article that had been well researched and was well written with the aim of informing the readers. The so called wanna be journalist obviously strayed away from this idea, well their sources hmmmm, I wonder how someone sitting in their living rooms in NC,Minneapolis or Seattle can speak to the relevant sources and produce a well researched unbiased opinion.

According to Captain run away slave it's hard as hell trying to get information from anyone cos the Gambian population don't trust ya'll and would rather let ya'll speculate. That's from the ex observer mouth piece cum run away due to "incompetence" and now he is pissed off.I think his new name is "Gumbo Disco" with his glasses ,You Gambians are the biggest jokes the world has to offer

http://www.justiceforthepress.blogspot.com/

This is after years at the observer supposedly being apatriotic journalist, when the Habanero hit the fan he screams Justice for the Press .LOL

http://www.freedomnewspaper.com/Homepage/tabid/36/mid/367/newsid367/4510/GambiaJustice-For-The-Press-Freedom-Or-Development/Default.aspx

Journalism was once a very noble profession and as "OPal" as the average Gambian is ,you managed to turn it to a simple eulogy for a noble profession which was once respected and much needed.

Journalism used to require passion, diligence, dedication and talent. True journalists are a dying breed nowadays due to the fact that not only did the later research their facts they wove their words carefully, keeping their personal opinions for the editorial pages and readers. Trust me there are still those who endeavor to maintain the essence of journalism but they are too few to make a dent in a collapsing trade.

you don't have to like me cos i really don't like ya'll either but the fact still remains that ya'll sullied the profession with half-truths and misinformation, an argument which will be hard to refute. The art of "Lets make up the rest of what we heard" journalism began the downward spiral to the fast paced, one sided, in your face reporting being touted as journalism today. The biggest tension ya'll facing today is between getting it first and getting it right. If this was "common entrance exams" ya'll all going to Crab Island sec.

The first and biggest mistake you incompetent fools did was throwing in your personal views and making speculations. Today it's all about the headline, "Jammeh this Jammeh that "the writing itself seems to be secondary to the topic. It's all about Write it, don't worry about writing it well, but just make sure you just write it.On a daily basis The public is being misinformed and uninformed by the steady decline in journalistic morality by retired Ambassadors and run away LT and half baked illiterates.

There really is'nt much to be said in favour of Gambian Journalism simply because what they have managed to do is by giving up the opinions of the uneducated, it kept the government in touch with the ignorance of the community.

Like every profession in Gambia ,A good journalist is a writer who can read and type ,whether he is retarded or mentally incapacitated is to be determined . Trust me I respect the restraint that a journalist has to maintain the integrity of whatever piece they are working on, and that there are those who do not put words to a page until they know it to be fact, sad story but they are too few.

Journalist without morals are definitely plentiful in cyberspace and multiplying like cancer and i don't blame them for they are what they are ,those who have remained true to the art of journalism, they are indeed craftsmen worthy of admiration and accolade. The last standing Journalist in Gambia's History was Deyda Hydara ,the born again journalist are Agenda driven .....................................Peace

Moe you cannot dismiss all the complaints about APRC, there are genuine concerns that Gambians have about the way the country is being governed.

Please tell me these reports are untrue.

http://www.foroyaa.gm/modules/news/article.php?storyid=3254 is this not true.

Is Foroyaa another terrorist organization just like the onlinenewspapers?

Thanks T ,am not here to dismiss anyone's legitimate complaint and for sure i ain't speaking on behalf of anyone. The fact is why are people being arrested ,a christian children fund worker ,a farmer ,etc, what could they possibly be charged with and the question remains what have they actually done to sanction an arrest.People just don't get picked up from the blue this i can assure you ,whether the very system failed them is questionable but am not suprised ,Africans are not serious about the rule of Law............................................Peace
