Found this information while trawling through the Spanair website looking for any cheap flights to the Gambia. " Spanair are to discontinue their flights to the Gambia from November 2009" Has anyone else come across this or can throw any light on what this might mean. If it means no more Spanish tourists ,as these flights seem to originate from Madrid ,go to Barcelona and then on to Banjul then the tourist trade in the Gambia will suffer even more. From the times supplied these flights from Madrid can take from 9-12 hours including waiting time at Barcelona and were not cheap . I was quoted £513 for a return flight in late July.
