kobo,
jammeh is a product of jawara's 30 years of sleeping and day dreaming of singaporisation of the gambia. jawara had all the world in his hands to transform this tiny nation, but he did not. i think we are just unfortunate.

What kobo wants for his oneline topic is to choose between the two. Both are hopeless, but what can one do? The author of this glorious onelne wants a choice. Here is a new model, he writes and sets the conditions of reply.

Jawara and jammeh are like father and son. The father started the destruction and the son completed the task. Just like the Bush family with regards to Iraq.

Let's substantiate before you choose and set them through a criteria to test their records. I think it's more logocal that way e.g Statesmanship, Huma Rights Records, Democracy, Good governance, Terrorism, Brutality & torture, Dictatorship, Justice, Freedom of Expression, Good Personality, Maturity, Socio-Economic Development,Level of corruption, Civil Rights, amongst other rhings. Note list is not exhaustive, any other way is acceptable but lets give them individual scores against it.

I do not know where to begin. But to be honest, I would prefer Jawara in so far as freedom of expression is concerned. I used to go to the Supreme Court to nominate Sedia from the President's office and still find my job waiting. I never for once ever thought that i could loose my job.

Now, even if you are from Yoro Bawol, you dare not. Fear has engulfed all of us and that is very unsettling.

In every respect Jawara is far better than Yaya.

The reason why yaya is so strange to me is that he is so rare a species. He like nothing that advances mankind. No head or tail and full of contradictions.

Very narrow minded, illogical and tremendously disrespectful. It just eludes me how on earth he bacame the choice of the former council to be the chairman. unbelievable!!

According to rumours he did nothing remarkable. He did not take over any of the barracks. There were other people who took over Yundum and Bakau and then combed the beaches and found him at Denton Bridge with Edward trying to cross without success.

It was out of respect beacuse of rank that he became the head. There is no smoke without fire.
