APD from nov.2009 tax to Gambia band B (2001-4000miles.economy class=£45 premium class= £90. regards,lamby.

This is very greedy (can I have some M.P.s allowances to pay for this fact finding trip in November ? nothing in the system says I can't claim and get it does it? so thats OK then)

Adding £45 per flight to Gambia is going to have an even worse effect on tourism. Not good news.

These are the taxes paid on a three months return ticket to The Gambia from Denmark.

Momodou, in the UK we already pay taxes on flights anyway. This seems to be an additional one.

to find APD-AIR PASSENGER DUTY go to www.cheaperholidays.com/travel/apd-tax-extra-charges/2009/04/24. they have a band system from A to D. THE LONGER THE flight the more tax you pay!!! lamby
